NIce home in Tahoma
My wife and I enjoyed our stay.
We are long time visitors to the West Shore and have had lake front homes there.
The home was as described and very comfortable and well kept. Only issue we had was that we were not able to get any channels on TV which I don't believe was indicated on listing.
We would rent again.

Perfect Tahoe Getaway!
Loved this place! This is such a cute place. It had everything we needed, plenty of beds, kitchen was well stocked with pots, dishes, utensils, cozy living room, 3 bathrooms, washer and dryer worked well too! Best part was the location, the back yard is the forest, loved to hike/bike right out the back door. Plus the Rubicon Trail is right there for all fellow jeepers! The lake was only a couple blocks away and such cute little towns close by. The attention to detail at the house was great and it was super clean, which was greatly appreciated!!!!
Would definitely love to stay again!
House was nice but it needs more fans in the summertime. A couple of windows and the slider didn't have screens and the house never really could cool off in the evenings.

great location
Great location for getting around west Lake Tahoe. Ample amount of space for family of 5. A couple issues with our stay, no phone signal (even with ATT), which I have not encountered at any other stay in Tahoe. Also, a slight ant problem in the kitchen and both bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and no rear neighbors (so beautiful view out back of the forest). No regular TV channels, even though we followed the directions on the inside of the door.

Nice place, terrible property management company
The cabin was lovely, and the local management folks were fairly helpful. Grand Welcome is a terrible company to deal with, however. We arrived on the day of a snowstorm and when I called Grand Welcome about access to the house they told me to buy a shovel and shovel out the driveway and shovel our way into the house! It turned out the house did have one shovel, but we were left shoveling snow for the remainder of our ‘vacation’. We spent hours each day shoveling the driveway and into the house and out to the trash cans. Only on the very last day was the driveway plowed. It’s insane to charge so much for a place and have to do maintenance work on. Just beware if you’re planning to go during a storm!

Nice, but needs some special touches
The process of renting the home was easy and checking in went fine. The home was very clean and smelled clean. The home has a very large deck; however, there is four plastic chairs and an umbrella and that is it. Very disappointing and bare, there were no tables outside to eat a meal and no decorations. The deck downstairs had no table as well. The kitchen only had two wine glasses so I had to go buy some. The toilet in the center bathroom upstairs needs a new toilet seat. The paint is chipping off of the seat. The beds were comfortable, but they seemed quite small to be queen size beds. On a positive note the living area downstairs is nice and the kitchen is good size. Pretty quiet at night. The house is located in a great spot and has a lot of potential, but needs some TLC.
The home was very pleasant and tastefully decorated, and is very quiet, as advertised. The kitchen had only paper towels. I wish I had brought my own foil, saran wrap, and zip lock bags, plus some essential kitchen utensils. If you don't plan on much food preparation, this place is fine. There was no dappled shade in the back- just dirt. We were there during the first week of the Caldor Fire and our stay was cut short a couple of nights, and we had just 11/2 really pleasant days out of 5. Last August I had to cancel Sugar Pine Pt. SP camping reservations because of smoke, and I foolishly gambled with this rather expensive (for us) rental, hoping we wouldn't have smoke a second August in a row. The screen door had not been fixed or replaced. Back to the tent and a resort stay for couple of nights next year. Both can be cancelled and modified. My two daughters both got refunds from the River Ranch Lodge when their plans were affected by unhealthy smoke. from the Caldor Fire.
Thank you so much for hosting our stay during this three day weekend. We enjoyed the big backyard with lots of snow. The kitchen was well equipped, except that we could not find a kettle. The bedrooms were clean. We experienced power outage on Saturday night from 9pm until 230am, there was no cellphone connection and no internet connection. All the flashlights were dead, good thing were able to find candles. Just a note for the owner to have that stuff prepared for the next visitors. Overall, the stay was very nice.
We had 6 adults and 2 young children and the house worked very well for a family of that size. Very close to quiet beach options and great hiking inside a quiet neighborhood. Like prior reviews, cellular service was non-existent in this area of Tahoe but WiFi at the house was strong and a landline+Ring was available for emergencies. We stayed in the summer and the A/C for the house doesn’t work well (at all), but it cooled down at night with open windows upstairs. All other amenities in great working order (washing machine, dish washer, patio grill, etc). We would stay here again!

Nice place, but needs attention to some things.
The house is nice and the location is beautiful. We enjoyed walks in the woods behind the house. One reason I chose this place is that other reviews wrote favorably about cleanliness. Although it seemed Clean enough on the surface and it was clear that sheets and towels were clean, apparently other bedding was not effectively laundered. This made us wonder what we might not be seeing. I suggest the property managers scrutinize their cleaning service.
We arrived on a cold snowy evening in January to find the driveway shoveled, the lights and heat on. We had a great 5 days enjoying all the comforts, everything was thought of and available. Great location with snow park 5 minutes away, shopping and restaurants nearby and walks in the woods right outside the gorgeous home. Everything was wonderful, we didn't want to leave.
The property manager did a great job communicating, including an email after we checked in. The house was very clean, comfy beds and pillows. It’s a great Tahoe stay.

The place was emaculate, warm and welcoming.
When we first arrived, I was impressed with how clean every room was, especially the bathrooms. I loved the bear decor and cozy cabin feeling.
Our family enjoyed hiking in the giant “backyard” forest & having the sleds & snow shoes to use in the snow.
We had all the necessities for cooking and enjoyed breakfast in the cabin before heading out to ski & snowmobile.
It was great to come home at night, relax and watch some movies with your great selection of channels.
Thank you for sharing your inviting home away from home with us!

Lovely Property, but very poor House Instructions
We really liked the house. Beautifully furnished, clean, everything in good shape. HOWEVER, the internet connection was non-existent. We were never able to get the television to work and there were no clear instructions from the Owners. Additionally, I just HAPPENED to look in one of the kitchen drawers and found rumpled piece of paper with the wifi password on it. This should all be available. We were unable top make any phone calls or get any outside connection the first night. If something had happened, I suppose we could have run over to the Neighbors. The Management company knew NOTHING about the house of the electronics.

It was ok. I will not stay there again.
When we first arrived it was 87 degrees in the house. The master bedroom stayed hot even throughout the night. The master bed was not comfortable. The bunk bed mattresses were stiff. The neighbors dog likes to come over and crap in the backyard. The owner has personal stuff in the drawers downstairs. The top of the entertainment cabinet was a mess. It was an ok stay at the house. I will not stay there again.

Former Tahoe residents appreciated this rental
We owned a home near this one for many years. As we got older, the winters got to be too much for us and we moved away. Still, we have friends and nearby family in the area and it's nice to have a private place to hang out when not socializing. This house is well-maintained, has a comfortable layout and comfy furniture, and it's nicely outfitted as a 'home away from home'. It's near hiking trails and all manner of winter and summer sports. It's not far from Tahoe City for major shopping and eateries, and there's also a pizza parlor and two small markets nearby. Some of the reviews point out that cell reception is bad -- that is a typical problem on Tahoe's west shore. We were here during a quiet "shoulder season", so we can't report on whether the nearby off-roading trails get noisy in summer, especially the annual "Jeep Jamboree", so that's something to be aware of -- unless you like that sort of activity!
