Terrific Mebane Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was excellent and the property was lovely. We would definitely choose this property again on our next visit to North Carolina.

We absolutely loved our stay at Barbara’s place! She was a wonderful host. The farm house was located down a private lane which made it feel rural even though the amenities of a city were close by. Restaurants and shopping were easy to get to. The house was comfortable and the beds were cozy. We did a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 6 people in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked. We also had 2 pets with us who enjoyed walks on the property. Barbara has thought of every detail and has crafted a lovely guest experience. We will definitely stay there again!

Both the property and the home exceeded my expectations! The exterior was perfectly groomed and offered several areas to sit, relax and enjoy the tranquility.Bonus was the deer herd that came one evening and the baby ducks in the pond.The interior is pure perfection...beautifully appointed with a clean contemporary feel and look. Very comfortable LR, DR and kitchen with an open and airy construction. All the BDRMS were extremely comfortable, bright and offered a calm relaxing atmosphere with black out curtains for am rest. The massage chair in the Primary was a nice touch. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how fabulous the entire package was, and look forward to a fall visit!

Wonderful host and a very nice house. During our visit, the grass around the home was tall and not trimmed, and there were a few dead bushes and a couple of trees down from a recent storm that detracted somewhat from the otherwise peaceful country setting.We have no complaints about the host or the house itself, and we enjoyed our stay. However, at approximately 500 per night, including fees and taxes, we felt the property did not quite deliver the value we expected.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the house, and I'm sorry the grounds weren't at their best for you. Your arrival landed the day after a severe storm tore through the area and brought down trees across the county. We had crews scheduled as fast as anyone could get them. I'm sorry you caught us mid-cleanup, that's not the setting we work hard to give people. The one thing I truly regret is that you didn't message me. The lawn is on a weekly professional service, and the crew came out during your stay, but had you sent me a note, I would have had someone there within the hour. I'm always reachable, and I'd have made it right immediately rather than have you sit with it. I also understand the total felt steep. I'd only share, gently, that the checkout figure includes platform fees and state and county occupancy taxes that I don't set and never see. the nightly rate itself is well under that. I'm glad you enjoyed the house, and I'd genuinely love the chance to host you again on a calmer weather week.
