During your visit, we discovered that our, newly created at that time, VRBO listing contained an error regarding the bedding arrangements. Once this was brought to our attention, we immediately corrected the listing to ensure future guests have accurate information. The confusion was due to the fact that one of our rooms have bunk beds, so the beds were doubled on listing. It was truly an accident. We also take cleanliness very seriously and investigated the concerns raised. As owners of an older home with many original features, some areas may show age, but guest comfort and cleanliness remain a priority for us. We appreciate all feedback and continuously work to improve the guest experience. Fortunately, the vast majority of our guests have enjoyed their stays, and we look forward to welcoming future visitors.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. As the owners of an older home with original features, we understand it may not be the right fit for everyone, but guest safety is always our top priority. The only maintenance issue present during your stay was a front door handle that had been damaged by a previous guest shortly before your arrival. We addressed that issue as quickly as possible. We were surprised to read concerns regarding floor movement, doors, cleanliness, and pet hair, as none of these items were reported to us during your stay or afterward. We always encourage guests to contact us immediately with any concerns so we can address them and make things right. Our goal is for every guest to have a comfortable experience, and we appreciate all feedback that gives us the opportunity to improve. Following your checkout, we contacted you the same day regarding significant damage to the original hardwood floors and included photos for documentation. We did not receive a response. Ten days later, this review was posted, and we still have not received any communication regarding either the damage or the concerns mentioned above. We remain committed to providing a clean, comfortable experience for our guests and encourage open communication so that any issues can be addressed promptly during a stay.
