My miniature poodle loved the balcony, and the view is stunning. Sunrises on the balcony are beautiful. And there was a full moon over the water my last night, so awesome!

'Campy' place with nice view in nice resort

This condo in the nice Mayan Princess resort ended up not really being up to our standards for cleanliness. But we're giving four stars because the owner apologized and apparently had a mis-communication regarding getting it cleaned for us. He also was flexible and negotiated to our satisfaction to remedy the situation. This beach-side condo is nicely sited on the second floor with a beautiful view of the ocean and the three pools of the resort and a nice porch. If you're looking for a campy place on the beach, this condo has a lot of nice features. If your looking for hotel style cleanliness, you might want to check with the resort itself, which has rooms with daily linen service and a bit higher level of finish, cleanliness and attention to detail.

Booked and Owner Cancelled our reservation one day before our arrival.

The owner of this condo is very unprofessional. We reserved the property, our payment cleared and he cancelled one day before 5 of us were going to arrive. He never returned our calls as to why and VRBO was equally unhelpful. It's pretty obvious he likely over booked the property and decided to cancel our reservation one day prior to our arrival. I will never book with this ower I also have serious concerns with VRBO and how they handled this situation - not helpful. We ended up renting a cute small house down the beach a bit - so this owner not only tarnished his reputation but also lost out on our current and any future stays. Unprofessional.

I'm sorry for the issues you had, I was informed by Homeaway / VRBO that you had been flagged for fraudulent credit card activity on another booking site therefore they( VRBO) canceled your reservations. It certainty was not double booked. I did respond to your first call but not respond to subsequent calls. thank you

Great view and patio.

The patio and view is amazing and this is what I was looking for and that did not disappoint. The price is too high for what you get. The furniture is outdated and needs an update. The place needs a deep cleaning. I am sure it was cleaned prior to our arrival but it needs deep cleaning. The fans have a layer of dust all over them. I was afraid to look behind the bed. There was trash under the bed. This is an old building and I am sure every unit deals with pest problems. Every night we had a visitor roach. I do love this location and the pool area is great. The location gets you away from the crowds which is really nice. I would stay here again if the price was lower or if it was updated to modern standards and the price remained the same.

Disappointing

There were ants all over the counter tops and floors in kitchen area. There was a cabinet door with broken hinges. The kitchen was not very well equipped with regular kitchen items. The sliding glass door is very hard to open and close, it is barley holding on to the railing it slided on. We were afraid to open it anymore so we could not even access the patio. The vanity sinks were not draining very well. The only shower is in the only room with no door and the bath tub plug is broken. The owner never sent a welcome email with access instructions and I never received instructions for departure. I was not sure what I was to clean or wash up before we left. This porperty sleeps 6 but really is only big enough for 4, very limited seating as a family. I think the owner may be trying to sell this property and he has not done any up keep at all in years. I have rented several times from VRBO and this is the first disappointment I have experienced.

I'm sorry for your experience. I would really appreciate if you let me know what items the kitchen is missing? The kitchen has a full set of knives, can opener, wine opener, full set of pans, cookie sheets, Dutch oven, toaster and toaster oven, coffee maker that brews both k-cups and ground coffee, dishes and bowls for 6, cups large and small, numerous coffee cups, large mixing bowls, silver ware for 6+ persons, salt and pepper, coffee decaf and regular , sugar, wine glasses, mixer, microwave, blender, two different size George Forman grills, Blender, cooking spoons slotted and non slotted, ladles and spatulas. One cabinet door had one hinge that was loose maintenance was there with in an hour to fix. Sliding door was not loose the track needed to be cleaned and lubricated which was also fixed by the maintenance person. I was not made aware of the slow draining sink. I just purchased this property earlier this year and continue to try to improve it. Thank you for the feed back I will use it to make further improvement.

Beautiful views great amenities !

What could be better than waking up to a view of the ocean. This property was perfectly designed to give you space and a view of both the ocean/dunes and the resort pool. My family slept comfortably and the staff at the Mayan Princess were all friendly and helpful. The property had everything we needed to make our vacation feel like a vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

Great place to stay and relax at the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I wish we were still there! The room was very nice and taken care of by the owner. The amenities and furnishings were very adequate. We were unsure if this unit had a washer and dryer and were very pleased to find out that it did. This location has easy and great access to the beach and the pools. This room also had a great view of the beach. 8 miles from Port Aransas made this place nice and quiet as compared to the busyness in town. I would give this a 5 star review, but I cannot due to one issue we had. Now, I don't fault the owner of the property as I am sure he doesn't clean the place himself (has a cleaning crew I assume). You have to pay a cleaning fee to stay here. I'm fine with that. However, if I am paying that fee so did the ones before us. Two pairs of dirty underwear were present on the balcony, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, and the fridge had some stuff on one of the shelves. The owner made it up to us, so I won't fault this more than one star. He also is very responsive to messages and questions about the property. I would recommend this place to someone looking for a quiet stay. The beach down on this part of the island wasn't as busy as the Port Aransas side.

Great view of the ocean!

Despite not getting the 'welcome' email that must have gone to someone else, b/c they had my last name wrong, we enjoyed the condo & was perfect for what we needed. Wish I'd have known there was a washer/dryer in the unit beforehand --came in handy! Outdoor patio was nice to sit out on & enjoyed the pool & nearby beach. We used the BBQ grill by the pool for dinner one night. My only complaint was the cigarettes...people next door were smoking. People at the pool were smoking. Couldn't get away from it. A pack of cigarettes even blew onto the patio one day with a few butts. If it was smoke-free, it would be tremendously better!!

This condo was exactly what I was looking for and the owner was very responsive to my questions and needs even on the day of check in. I loved the condition of the bed and linens and the a/c which is mentioned in prior reviews was super cold and worked great! The location is just beautiful and I will be back! My only suggestion is that I found the kitchen to be poorly equipped with very few options for a stay-in cook. I stayed a week and intended to cook my entire stay but only found plastic dishes and one small skillet available. I am also a very clean person, and there were also no cleaning supplies left for keeping the kitchen clean after each meal and to use the dishwasher. With a little TLC in the kitchen, this truly is the perfect place to stay!

WONDERFUL!!

Our visit couldn't be described as anything less than perfect! Peaceful, right on the beach, beautiful condo. Gilbert was so accomodating and easily accessible for anything we needed. The only thing that would have made it better is if we'd stayed longer. Will definitely go back. We have found a small oasis in Gilbert's place!

Property was nice, staff was more then helpful! Very nice being able to walk out to the beach. Pool was a plus. Unit was nice. Not very clean. My children found a dirty bandaid in the bowl of shell decor, dishwasher was left full of dishes (not sure if they were clean or dirty). A/C did not work upon arrival and owner would only respond via this app. So over half our trip was spent very uncomfortable, especially for my kids. Thankfully the resort staff were more then accommodating and brought us a portable a/c because the owner would only bring one if a/c wasn't able to be fixed.

Beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay at the Mayan Princess! Our unit provided us with everything we needed during our vacation. The pool area was beautiful! We feel that the complex Is showing wear which needs to be addressed.

Absolutely IMPRESSED!!!

I recently stayed at this condo with my family of 6 and was thoroughly impressed. Big tvs that were easy to use. Comfortable beds with great linens. Sensitive A/C. Beautiful view of the gulf. Very close to the water. If you get an opportunity to visit Port A, I highly recommend this property. And don't forget the Coronas for that view!!!
