Large home within walking distance of charming downtown Sheridan
Located in the middle of the best Sheridan has to offer - 4 blocks to fine dining at Frackeltons and a thriving Historic Downtown Sheridan. One block from Kendrick Park and the ice cream stand and walking/biking paths. Walking distance from two local breweries. Beautiful historic home updated with high end kitchen and lovely backyard including rock fire pit and inviting porches on three sides of the home. Our home is family friendly with a backyard. Master bedroom with king-sized bed and sitting area. Second bedroom with queen sized bed and wonderful morning light. Third bedroom with king-sized bed and great afternoon light. Fourth bedroom has a double bed. Fifth and sixth bedrooms are on third floor and have no door between them. One room has a queen bed and the other has 2 twin beds. Sheridan was recognized recently as one of the "Best of the West" in True West magazine with a historic downtown, walking/biking paths, numerous parks, and hiking trails. Also, a frequent stopping point for many traveling to Yellowstone National Park. Our home is within walking distance of downtown which has great restaurants, quaint coffee shops, bars including the famous Mint Bar, and local breweries. Also, just a block over is Goose Creek - perfect for fishing and in later summer, tubing.
We are 4 blocks directly west of downtown where you can find fine dining at Frackelton's. Sheridan has two fabulous coffee shops - Java Moon and Bison Union - both downtown. Blacktooth Brewery has won many awards for their brews. Their Hot Streak IPA is a favorite! Luminous Brewery has a tap room, which includes a child-friendly space. Both breweries host live music regularly and food trucks frequent the two blocks between the breweries. The Pony is a family friendly sports bar with a shaded deck area for outdoor dining and a diverse menu. The Mint Bar is a legend around these parts. It is a unique experience and a must for anyone wanting to be exposed to authentic western cowboy culture - even REAL cowboys! During the summer, Sheridan Farmer's market is open every Thursday on Grinnell Plaza starting in July and going through September. And every Third Thursday, beginning June 22, about 5 blocks of Main Street are closed to traffic and opened up to strolling. Live music, food trucks, local businesses, and many booths are open. Kings Rope shop and museum is also downtown. Get your Surf Wyoming t-shirt at Big Horn Design. The Sheridan area is also known for world-class polo - free games every Sunday afternoon, great golf (Kendrick and the Powderhorn), Tongue River hiking trail near Dayton, WY, many trail systems (go to Sheridan Community Land Trust's website for details), Sheridan WYO Rodeo in July, and hosts several large soccer tournaments.
Off street parking is available but not usually a problem. Bikes along with helmets and locks available upon request.

The wedding week's festivities are over, great memories made. Thank you so much for your hospitality we loved being able to have lived and to have entertained in your charming vintage home for the week. Your home accommodated our three generational needs well with the exception of the stairs, very tricky with the 87 year old yet with three generations available for assistance my Mom-in-law was well attended and didn't miss a beat of all the family activiities! Being so convenient to downtown Sheridan, to the park, and to restaurants friends and family enjoyed dropping in for refreshments and repose, always lingering on the front porch to enjoy the neighborhood. The spaciousness of the home, and its amenities made entertaining so carefree. Best regards,
This beautiful historic house was a great home base for our extended family’s trip to Sheridan. It has so many interesting architectural features, was comfortable, clean, and located within walking distance to park, shopping, etc. It had several great gathering areas, and having my morning or late night tea on the screen porch was so relaxing! The owner was also great to accommodate our needs and even offered to mail my husband’s favorite suspenders that somehow got forgotten in the closet. This VRBO gets five plus stars from me!
We had a wedding for our niece in Big Horn and this house was perfect. There were three siblings and their families with teens and little ones and the mom/mother-in-law. We all had a room and a bed of our own to sleep in and never had to wait on a bathroom or hot water. There was so much room in the house we were never under each other’s feet. The owner was there every day checking on us and taking care of the house. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Dave!!

A great house for large families - especially over the holidays!
We had family visiting for Thanksgiving - including 3 generations. The large family dining room table was perfect for Thanksgiving dinner, putting together a puzzle and even making gingerbread houses. The house is unbelievable neat with 1900 charm. If timing works out - we would absolutely rent this 1907 gem again!

Awesome Property
A group of 4 of us rented this house for a weekend get away in Sheridan and the mixture of old house with modern conveniences was great! This was one of the best overall properties I have ever rented out. I would recommend this house to anyone and would not be surprised if I am back soon. Thank you!

We were in town for a wedding and the house was perfect.
When we got to town David was there and showed us around his place. The house is beautiful and perfect for what we needed. There is lots of room and the house is close to the great Sheridan downtown. We would definitely consider staying there again in future.

Amazing home in Sheridan.
We found this home to be amazing!! We loved the vintage aspect of it, the kids loved the room at the top; and all of us girls enjoyed the fabulous kitchen! Everyone loved the front porch; and gathered out there for early morning coffee, and quiet nighttime chats.
Will definitely seek this out when we return to Sheridan again!!!!

David's home is a beautiful older historic home 4 blocks from downtown Sheridan.
David has made upgrades to the home. The kitchen has been modernized and has new appliances. Four of the bedrooms have window a/c installed. The home stays cool during the day by opening windows during the evening and closing them in morning. There were 11 adults in our motorcycle group and everyone was very happy with our stay. David was a gracious host and checked with us every couple days to see if we needed anything. He gave us some history of home and the town. Also some advice of what to see and do. The weather was unusually hot when we were there but house was comfortable. The Big Horn Mountains are beautiful. Be sure to check out the vaudeville show downtown and the polo matches down by Big Horn. Our group would stay there again and we recommend the home. The rental costs are very reasonable.

Best vacation rental we've had
We knew this was the first time the family had rented out their house, so we were extremely surprised at how perfectly prepared it was, down to the last detail. It was spotless and so welcoming. Aside from its beauty, charm, and roominess, the house felt more like a bed and breakfast than a first-time vacation rental because of details like fresh bedding, a huge stock of clean towels, and a basket full of brochures and information on things to do in and around Sheridan.
The owners of the home are likewise excellent--they're extremely responsive, flexible (we decided last-minute to stay an extra night), and seemingly really decent people. Their vibe is reflected in the house, which just feels so happy and comfortable. We were VERY sad to leave!
We would recommend this house 10,000 times over.
