Depends on what you are looking for...
Pros: The pool, the hot tub, the outdoor shower and the grill were great. We had good wifi service the whole time which was important b/c we were WFH during the vacation and the A/C on the 1st and 2nd floor worked as well.
Cons: Just about everything inside the house was run down/on its last legs or well past its expiration. Two of the electric burners on the stovetop didn't work, there was no air conditioning downstairs - owner did add a unit to one of the rooms after I complained. Some of the fans provided worked, others were loud or missing covers (dangerous for kids). There were no showerheads on 2 of the 3 showers in the house so the water just sort of spits at you. The living rug did not have a square inch that wasn't stained or destroyed with cigarette burns (once again for kids who want to play on the floor - not ideal). The rug was cleaned prior to our arrival, it was just at least 20 years old and looked it. I had specifically emailed the owner to ask about beach chairs/cart (b/c only town residents can park on the beach). He responded that he had them and he did not. He did have lounge chairs that were so rusted and/or broken that they were unusable, but not a single beach chair or cart to haul our stuff to the beach from where non-residents park.
Sum up - we made the best of it and although it was a little more stressful and uncomfortable than we felt it should have been for the price - it was an okay vacation. If you are a group of adults who are looking for a crash pad to sleep and maybe hang out poolside a bit but don't intend to actually spend a lot of time in the house then it is a good fit. It is not a good fit for families.
The owner was communicative and tried to be accomodating, nothwithstanding his lack of investment in the house. The house manager was also very nice and helpful.
