The house was perfect for our needs. Really centrally located and beautifully decorated, very calm and comfortable. It was perfect for staying in with a mix of family and the two living areas were great for when the kids wanted to play board games or watch a movie and adults wanted to sit and visit. The backyard was really nice and we loved that the lot behind the house is a wooded area, which gave the feeling of some privacy. We played a lot of games of cornhole and enjoyed the back deck. It had absolutely everything we needed.

The home was clean and modern. Everything we needed was an available. The location worked out well for us to visit family locally and other Grand Junction sites. The beds were comfortable, there was no outside noise, the location was very private. The only issues we had was a drain in a shower and there was no outside trash bin. Otherwise everything was handled very well and we enjoyed our stay.

Home was cute, conditions were not

Overall, the home was cute and cozy, providing ample space for the family. However, the conditions of the home did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, we noticed that the home was hot (it was nearly 88 degrees outside and 82 inside the house). It was evident that the A/C was not working. I have a painful heat rash condition and my mother has Multiple Sclerosis which make having A/C crucial. We contacted the front desk and they stated that the homeowners believed the A/C had been fixed but knew there was a problem. The issue was not addressed during our 3 day stay and on the 3rd day, a portable unit was brought to us however, they forgot a hose so it was unusable. This meant we had to spend majority of our time away from the home, waiting for it to cool off a night. Additionally there were bugs and spiders everywhere. Not just a few sprinkled throughout but all over the home (dead & alive). One of the bathrooms also had hair all over the floor and appeared to have not really been cleaned. We contacted the Visit Fruita team after our departure requesting a partial refund for the A/C issue and their team was quite rude stating that broken A/C is not their problem and they felt they had addressed it while we were there.

Hi Sydney, Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your stay. Just to clarify, the owner did have the HVAC system serviced and it was confirmed working prior to your arrival at the home. The owner also sent out their handyman to service the HVAC as soon as we were made aware of the issue. Because the home was still not cooled to your preferences, we then also brought out a portable A/C unit although it was raining and sixty degrees out. Had any of the cleaning items been mentioned during your stay - particularly when we had staff at the home - we would have been more than happy to address these items but this was not brought up even when you contacted us after your departure.
