About this property
Peaceful and Private Cabin near charming Saint Johnsbury Vermont
Picture yourself relaxing and enjoying the countryside and quiet woods around you in this unique and tranquil getaway in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom! This is a private log and timber frame cabin on our conserved tree farm, nestled in the woods along a woodland stream.
The Cabin is close to Burke Mountain and the Kingdom Trails, and the Great North Woods of NH. On a Brew Tour? We are centrally located near World Class breweries, with a list in the Cabin! The Cabin book is full of information about our area, local attractions and places to visit and area towns to explore.
You'll love this quiet spot with two outside covered sitting porches and a seating area with Solo stove for the chilly evenings. And we are thrilled when folks want to hike and explore the property for bird watching, tree hugging, whatever you'd like! We have a map to show mowed and dedicated trails and invite you to enjoy the woods and property.
The living room has two recliners and a long couch to stretch out on or use for a sleeping spot. A comfortable place for everyone!
The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking and baking if you're inclined and a large refrigerator/freezer. The kitchen table is easy to linger on while enjoying the view out the window.
The loft has a king bed as well as a twin size day bed with trundle bed that can be pulled out, ideal for kids! There's a space to hang clothes and a set of drawers. This area could easily be used as an office space as well.
The spacious full bathroom has a large corner shower and plenty of hooks for personal items.
We welcome you to come, unpack and unwind!

About the host
Hosted by SALLY E SCHLUETER

I'm a veterinarian, retired from general practice in small animal medicine and surgery but enjoy being the veterinarian for our local Kingdom Animal Shelter. My husband, Ric Prescott and I have lived in this area for 30 plus years and we love sharing this sweet, secluded spot on our Vermont Land Trust conserved property!
Why they chose this property
The Cabin is remotely away from our Barn Home that you'll see as you drive down the farm road and sits in a quiet spot by a stream that runs most time of the year. There are multiple outside sitting areas and more than one guest has shared they feel they're up in the trees when looking out the back views from inside or the back deck!
What makes this property unique
We hope you'll enjoy the property and views on the mowed paths and forest walking trails as well as the Saint Johnsbury area and other places you may be interested in visiting from here! There is a Cabin Manual with suggestions for places to visit with brochures and maps of the area. We hope you'll love spending time relaxing here and you'll also be close to so many wonderful places to visit!
