Cozy cottage with great access to the local Trails (Mohonk, Minnewaska, Hudson Valley Rail Trail , as well as easy access to all the awesome shops on Main St in New Paltz.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Our only concern was the noise level from the road out front. I slept in the room in the back, and that was fine. The other rooms were a little loud. The host did provide an white noise machine, which was very helpful. There was room in the driveway for both cars, and we could charge our hybrid vehichle.
My daughter and I spent a week here and loved our stay. The house is well located and close to downtown New Paltz, with lots of fun shops and restaurants to explore as well as a grocery store and SUNY New Paltz nearby. We appreciated the communication with the host and the thoughtful touches they included, such as a list of their favorite radio stations and a binder with suggestions for nearby things to do. The house itself was lovely, very cozy and charming. Overall, we greatly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this house to others.
We had a great stay. The home was clean, cozy, warm and convenient to all. Host was responsive and helpful. We hope to come back in the future. Highly recommended!
Lovely cottage close to the best of New Paltz! Such a cozy place to stay with everything you need to feel at home. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would absolutely stay there again!
Three of us were in New Paltz for the weekend. We wanted a kitchen and space to visit with each other. The cottage worked very well for that. We spent some time in New Paltz and drove up to Opus 40 (highly recommended). The cottage is absolutely true to the listing.
Staying at this house was really a delight. The space looks exactly like the listing and staying there felt like I was staying at a friend's house. The location was convenient and the scenery beautiful. Also, I can tell whoever decorated the home did so with intention. I really enjoyed the artwork and carefully selected books found all throughout the home. I will definitely be staying here again.
This cottage was great. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The living room was nicely furnished. It was a handy location for all of our outings. The hosts were quite helpful before and during our stay. If we were in the area again, we'd stay here again.
Lovely home for an upstate retreat! Wished it was a less chilly time of year to enjoy the yard more which looked quite inviting. The upstairs workspace was convenient and the loft itself was a nice cozy space. Would definitely look for again if in the area.
Great little house with good access to New Paltz, wineries and some lovely hiking areas! The inside is clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the cute front porch with comfortable chairs although the road out front is a busy one. The hosts were helpful and communicative.
There are so many positive aspects of this house. It's ADORABLE, it's homey, it has a warm, cozy vibe, it comfortably accommodated my family of 4 adults, the kitchen and bath are well stocked, the hot water never ran out, it's kept very clean, the hosts give ideas for activities in the area, the location is ideal as it's only .25 miles from the thruway, the bonus space in the loft was a favorite for the kids...nothing but positive things to say!

Liked: Communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Such a cute house but was not very clean. Lots of dust and dirty floors. The yard was a mess - long grass and weeds - not even able to use it. It said no pets, but the owner must have some because there was pet hair on our clothes, my husband had an allergy attack the whole time, there was a dog run on the back of the house to a tree, and a tick crawled up my son's leg within minutes of entering the house. We opened the windows to get fresh air and the windowsills were just filthy - full of dirt and dead bugs - I ended up cleaning several. Not what I expected for the price I paid plus the 190 cleaning fee.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're sorry the house wasn't as clean as it should have been during your stay, and we've taken your comments about the floors, windowsills, yard and overall cleanliness seriously. We have a cleaning team come in after every guest and have shared your complaint with them.
We do not allow pets in the house, although unfortunately we can't always know if a guest brought one in, and the dog run you noticed was already on the property when we purchased the house 5 years ago. We can't reach the line between house and tree, hence just kept it there.
We are reviewing our cleaning and yard-maintenance routines to make sure the house is consistently in the condition our guests expect.
We had a great time staying the weekend for a lacrosse tournament nearby. Place was great..a little noisy on a busy street but overall a clean and comfortable place to stay the weekend. We left a cord and communication was slow to get it back but it seems owners will return in end so since our fault for not double checking and that’s the only complaint I would recommend overall.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Unfortunately we can’t watch our inbox all the time so if a guest doesn’t call us when they forgot something it can take a bit to coordinate the return. So sorry!
Once we have your address, we will put the cord in the mail for you.
Its hard to find good set ups for New Paltz. This unit was great! Communication with owners easy and effective. Close to downtown, expressway, and all the wonderful things to do within a 50 mile radius. House is private and spacious. If you have landed on this review do not hesitate, just book it. You will be completely satisfied.
My daughter and I came to visit my son, who attends SUNY New Paltz. The house was very clean, comfortable and the location was accessible. We had thought it was farther out, but it does sit near the road and a busy intersection. This turned out to be just fine. We used the kitchen for some meals, it was well equipped. There were many ants, but as its spring, they were probably just waking up and hungry! We enjoyed playing a full game of Life! Overall a very nice experience.
