Nice retreat!
A nice house not far from Emory, especially when you need a place to relax and rest. This was a blessing to be 5 to 6 minutes away when you have a family member in the hospital. A place to go and recharge and be able to help a love one get better. First time at this place will be back and on our A list of places to stay.

Very Spacious and Accommodating!
You could fit a family of 10 in this spacious place! The rooms were very nice and bedrooms on each end of house provided privacy. Beds were clean and comfortable, the entire house was clean and comfortable! Enclosed back porch for morning coffee to watch chipmunks in the backyard was great! Private parking off street made us feel safer. The host, Ms. Otha was wonderful and answered all questions and checked on us to see if we needed anything during our stay. Having laundry facilities was a great plus. All kitchen appliances and coffee maker made us not want to go out to eat, very large / long dining table was fun to sit around for breakfast, but the den was the best with large flat screen on wall with several comfy couches to lounge on with fireplace to keep any chill out of the air. For any reason, this place would do well for any family or friends stay. Very nice neighborhood and very close to lots of shopping, movie theaters and restaurants. We would definitely stay here anytime we make it to the Atlanta area!

Good location
Good location to downtown. Clean. Musty smelling, but we changed the water in the dehumidifier and that helped. A lot of insects.

Home away from home
This was a great stay for me and my family. The pictures don't do the space enough justice, because theirs a lot of space in this house. The hot water runs hot which is a huge plus for us because we love hot showers. The patio area is a great hang out spot. And Otha and her son were very helpful and available. We didn't have any complications with our commute from their location to downtown ATL either. Just overall good stuff and I wouldn't mind staying here again.

I grew up in Los Angeles and lived in Oakland, Ca 12 years prior to moving to Atlanta. My passions are art and travel - have traveled to 6 continents including over 20 trips and countries in Africa and all of Latin America sans El Salvador, collecting art along the way. Cuba is one of my favorite countries to visit because of its diverse culture which includes art and music. I am a founding Principal in The Real Estate Company and actively involved in the selling and listing of In town real estate. I have one son, Bia, a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser, who co-hosts with me and lives in upstairs separate apartment.

Why they chose this property

A lovely, spacious alternative to a hotel when you need more room and wish to spread out. This 2,000 s.f. apartment provides you all the comforts of home. I purchased this property because of its location, the wonderful neighbors and sought after schools. It also provides you with a huge outdoor space of a screened in patio which can be used 9 months out of the year.

What makes this property unique

A very walkable/joggable neighborhood - 1 mile to Emory Hospital/University/CDC, and a lovely 1 mile walk to Downtown Decatur with shops and restaurants, and yet so close to Midtown and Downtown Atlanta.
