Guests can relax and unwind on the beach, or take advantage of the kayaks, paddleboard, beach cruisers, and a pedal boat that seats five for a scenic tour around the bay. Ping pong table also available. This house is within walking distance of a park, with a playground, pickleball, handball and basketball courts, as well as sailing, fishing and kitesurfing rentals/lessons. Take the Charter to explore Catalina Island or explore the sea with world famous whale and Dolphin Watching Tours. CURRENTLY A PROTECTIVE SAND BERM OF VARYING HEIGHTS IS IN PLACE TO PROTECT THE HOUSES FROM THE WAVES. THE BERM DOES NOT OBSTRUCT THE WHOLE BEACH VIEW FROM THE HOUSE, BUT YOU WILL NEED TO WALK OVER IT TO ACCESS THE BEACH.

House was nice and clean. Walking distance to the bay was great. The beach in front isn’t very large and has a lot of trash, no fault of any owner. Just where it is located on the peninsula. Everything else was great!

Great spot on the peninsula

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beachfront unit on the peninsula. The property is well appointed and spacious with everything we needed for a 10-day stay. We enjoyed the swinging chairs on the patio and easy access to the beach and boardwalk. It is in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Only suggestion for improvement for the owner would be to add screens to windows as there is no AC (windows are primary way to cool it down with the ocean breeze, but we had to close them in the evening due to bugs).

Great time!

This place is gorgeous!!! The host really outdid themselves stocking the kitchen, bathrooms, and whole house. It had everything we needed. Their thoughtfulness really showed through! The home is beautifully designed, so inviting, with stunning natural light and views of the beach. It is so close to the water and in a great location. The water is truly right outside your door. The hammock was a particular favorite spot. And the boardwalk makes for great evening walks. It was wonderful for our children. The kids room was a huge hit! And anytime we had an issue or question the host was SO responsive. We sadly had some very loud and inconsiderate upstairs neighbors making noise into the very early hours of the morning, but nothing the host could control. Would absolutely stay here again!

The host was very communicative and responsive. This was a work trip with two families and we booked it quite a few months ago. The listing and listing photos showed beach access with the ability to walk out and swim at the ocean. Unfortunately, when we got there, that was not the case. The host claimed that she disclosed it in the listing, but unfortunately it was disclosed after I booked, and before I checked in with no notification to me. I never assumed that I would need to go back and review a listing to make sure the condition of the home did not change before I checked in. We did have Internet issues, and even though she claims she never had anyone complained about it, the guest book shows otherwise. Also parking is impossible if you have anything other than a compact car which again you are notified at time of check-in but not before. At one point, we ended up parking 10 blocks away with two small children. The berm with access to the beach is so tall you cannot see the ocean at all when sitting on the porch swing. You can see it minimally from the living room and kitchen and there is machinery that drives by multiple times a day. One day we counted 20 passes. She did offered to refund us completely if we found another place to stay, but unfortunately, we could not find another place to stay. If the reason you book this is to be able to walk out on the beach and immediately access the water, this is not the place for you. If that is not priority, then it’s great!

The house is very beautiful and comfortable. The host provides a ton of beach fun toys and the walk to the bay is very short. I would definitely stay here again.

This unique property has an ocean view and easy walk to the Los Alamitos Bay where you can comfortably get in and out of the water with the entire family, and hang out all day.2nd street in Belmont Shores is also full of great restaurants, and you are in the middle of LA and north SD county so tons of fun up and down the coast.Andrea is a great host and the property is clean, comfortable and well equipped.
