Cozy Home In The Berkshires, Pet Friendly with fenced in yard!

Come and enjoy the many adventures and activities that The Berkshires in Massachusetts has to offer. This cute 2 bedroom ranch is located in the quaint town of Adams at the base of Mt. Greylock. You can enjoy the many outdoor activities year round right out the back door. Play a round of gold at a nearby golf course, Hiking trails only steps away, MTB trails and the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail all within a mile, as well as many back roads to explore on your road bike. Snowshoe or ski Mt. Greylock in the winter months and leaf peep and hike during the Fall. Visit a museum or see a dance troupe or play at one of the many Theaters in the area. Enjoy local musicians in one of the many local parks that host Music in the Park or catch a concert at Tanglewood or MassMoca or the Newly opened Adams Theater. There are many museums in the area for young and old along with summer fun in town and in the surrounding towns. Bring the little ones and enjoy a picnic on top of Mt. Greylock, a swim at Windsor Lake or a little splash time at the free splash pad just 5 minutes away.

PET FEE: Please indicate if you are traveling with your pet(s). There is an additional set rate pet fee charge of $100.00 to cover the the additional cleaning costs.

Let’s keep the Greylock Getaway pet friendly. I know I loved being able to travel with my pet, and I appreciate people who allowed me to bring him along and I understand the extra costs that come along with it, but he was worth it. I’m sure yours are too. Neighborhood and trails at the Greylock Glen are very pet friendly.

10 min drive to Windsor Lake in North Adams to enjoy fishing, swimming and Kayaking and 10 minutes South to Cheshire lake for kayaking and fishing. Enjoy Tanglewood, MassMoca, Clark Art, or one of the many other museums or theaters in the area as well. You will never be short on things to do in the Berkshires.

A 5 min drive to North Adams, 10 min to Cheshire, 15 to Williamstown, 20 min to Pittsfield, 40 min to Tanglewood, 35 min to Jiminey Peak Ski Area.

*Please be aware this home has stairs, the front deck has 4 steps, back deck has 3 steps, same level access from lower level driveway or one full flight of stairs to main level living space from lower level family room (futon sleeping area), second bathroom/laundry room and extra bonus room on lower level.

* During the summer months, lawn care is done weekly. If you are staying for a full week this may fall on one of the days you will be there. You will get notice of that day. Snow removal is done as needed. Extra shovels and salt are provided for your use.

*Trash removal is done on Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday as needed. If it falls on a day you are occupying the home you will be notified ahead of time that I will be stopping by for a trash pickup.

** I No longer accept monthly long term rentals, maximum stay 2 -3 weeks unless approved for a longer stay.

Adams, MA Dog Friendly Getaway

The house is comfortable, perfectly located for hikes and museum visits, and is very family and pet friendly. We loved the fenced in yard, grill, outdoor furnishings and toys!

Greylock Getaway

We had a great time staying at the Greylock Getaway. Julie was very helpful, she gave us information about restaurants and things to do. She even setup a crate for our dog who was coming on the trip. The home is so clean, well stocked and in a great location for cultural activities and hiking trails. Thank you Jule, we look forward to our next visit!

Great spot!

The house was a great space during our short summer stay. Clean, AC's in all the necessary spaces, and had little odds and ends as needed (e.g., salt/pepper, towels, etc.). The location is great and is convenient for the area (loved that a Walmart was 5 min away for provisions). Julie was communicative and helpful when we locked ourselves out! A Little Gem

What I look for in a rental is clean, comfortable and a fenced yard for my dogs. This house exceeded my requirements. Very clean and super comfortable and the large fenced yard my dogs loved. I was surprised at how well this little gem was stocked. The house is located in a very quiet safe neighborhood and close to everything in the Berkshires. Great Stay!

Great backyard and convenient to MOCA

My husband, our dog and some friends and dog all stayed here for the weekend to enjoy some sites and Clark institute and MassMOCA. We loved taking advantage of the large fenced backyard and had good separation for the two dogs as needed with upstairs and downstairs. It was a bit fragranced with all the plugins and candles and older home smell. Nice area and a few tag sales right nearby on Saturday. Convenient drive to town and shops for groceries. We did enjoy our stay and the home had everything we needed for our weekend.

Adams for Thanksgiving

Very clean property. Close to trails. Host thought of everything we might have needed. Quiet neighborhood. Fenced in yard made things much easier with our dog. She even provided dog bowls, towels, rug and a treat!

Julie was very attentive in communicating with us and providing details of the home and surrounding area. Close to Mass MOCA and Clark Art Institute (short drive), sweet clean home. I came with a friend but had a nice selection of toys/games for young kids and a fenced in yard with a play area/jungle gym.

Lovely place!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfy home. Kitchen is well-equipped, the place is bright & airy, and our dog loved having the fenced yard to run around. The location was perfect for day trips to various regional sites & mountain roads. Our only tiny issue was that, while the place is loaded with toys & other features for families with children, we fairly advanced seniors found the stairs tricky to navigate. But that’s us, not you 😆

We had a very enjoyable, yet brief, stay at Julie's house in Adams! The house was clean and very organized. We did find everything that we needed, including a gated backyard where we could let our dog loose. The location is perfect to hike Mount Greylock, and very good to reach other destinations like North Adams, Williamstown, and even New York State. The communication with Julie was exceptional; she checked in with us to make sure that we were comfortable. Definitely recommended!

Perfect spot!

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend with our 2 dogs to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. I can't say enough good things about it. Julie and I kept in contact leading up to our stay and the day of our checkout. She gave great recommendations of places in the area and was just so kind. We also were able to check in and out a little early/late which was super helpful! The house itself is the perfect combination of super clean and "homey" all in one. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs, and I had my morning coffee outside on the patio. Though we don't have kids, I can see this being such a great spot for kiddos. Lots of toys, games, a playscape outside! We didn't cook other than a quick breakfast, but the house has all the pots/pans/utensils you could need to make a nice dinner. As far as location, it is close to Mt Greylock and it's stunning views, as well as a ton of restaurants, cute town areas, and other attractions. Julie, we had the perfect weekend, thank you so much!!

Such a perfect house!

We came to Adams on a whim - we were deciding between 3 places and the strength of the glowing reviews here was what swayed our decision. We were not disappointed! Every aspect of this property, from Julie's helpfulness to the wonderful interior to the great backyard and nice neighborhood and nearby attractions - it was all perfect! From the moment we walked into the house we relaxed and felt like we were really on vacation! We like to cook most of our meals and the kitchen was so well-stocked - the grill outside was in fantastic shape and Julie had let me know that the propane tank was full. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have so many places to sit in the living room! The backyard was fenced and was perfect for our dog - he loved the doggy door as well. My husband had to work two of the days and the internet was very strong even outside in the shaded table area. The shaded table was also perfect for dinner. This house would be especially great for smaller kids (ours is 10) with all the toys in the lower level and the play structures. The house is .7 mile from town and a nice walk. There is an excellent grocery store right in the town center that had everything we needed and more. We also enjoyed walks and biking in Greylock Glen - so gorgeous! The rail trail is great too. i think it is a good sign that by our 3rd day here, we were already checking the availability for future stays! Also, the house is just calming. It is a very quiet neighborhood (and perfectly safe for solo dog walks even late at night) and the birdsong is much louder than anything else. The stars are so bright, and there were fireflies and bluebirds - so magical! We really loved it!

I purchased this home 30 years ago and loved raising my daughter in it and running my Home Day Care out of it for 28 of those years. I retired in 2017 to go on to a new adventure in Maple Sugaring and have a sugarhouse just over the line in New York. I still enjoy my home in the Berkshires and love sharing it with others as well when I'm not there.

Why they chose this property

I did a major renovation in 2016 to the main living area which is now open concept. The lower level is in the process of having a make-over in between rentals and the back deck is also on the list to be rebuilt but has had a fresh coat of paint and is now carpeted.

You will find this home to be very comfortable and nicely located. It is family, child and pet friendly and filled with everything might need to make your stay an enjoyable one.

What makes this property unique

This home is located in the small town of Adams, MA. Close to many indoor and outdoor activities throughout the Berkshires yet away from the hussel and bussel. It is situated on a dead end street with a semi-private fenced in back yard for a worry free play area for children and pets and a patio with a glider swing and drop down screen for sitting out on warm summer nights.
