Home was clean and well stocked. Great location and walking distance to all the shops. Best area to stay at that’s close to Hoh rainforest and beaches.
We had a great stay in Forks! The property was spotless, the host was very responsive and helpful, and the central location made it easy to explore everything in town. Close to Olympic National Park. Highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient visit!
This place was close to everything in forks and just a small drive away from so many beaches! Perfect for a stay with family or friends. It was perfect for 4th of July and just a small walk from most businesses in town. Definitely recommend!!
This worked out great for us. The house is older but very clean, comfortable, with everything we needed. It’s conveniently located and we did easy drives to Cape Flattery, Hoh rainforest and tide pooling at Second beach. Highly recommend!
Allen was so communicative right from the start. He ensured we were prepared to check in and offered helpful information to make our stay comfortable. The house itself is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It was clean and exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there ready for us to stay for 2 nights, and we really appreciated the washer & dryer so we didn't have to pack so much from our home in Kentucky. We really enjoyed ourselves and would not only recommend this property but would re-book. It is very close to Olympic NP, including Hoh Rainforest (so amazing, & we saw a herd of Roosevelt elk grazing in the underbrush as we left!), but the beaches, too. We also visited the Forks Timber Museum in town, which was cool as well.I would recommend the hosts add a blind or a closable curtain on the kitchen window that faces the main hall bedrooms and bath. We felt quite exposed after our showers walking across the hall back to our bedroom. Other than that....For others travelling through Forks, remember that this is a very small town and things close up early, or not at all on Sundays, so plan accordingly especially for meals out. But, the taco truck (Yabes) near the city park was STELLAR, and probably had the best food we've had this whole week in WA. Muy bueno!!
Overall, this house is a great base for the more remote parts of Olympic National Park. Staying in Forks significantly reduces your driving time and enables you to easily visit the Hoh Rainforest and the beaches along Hwy 101. Like the town of Forks itself, the house is just a bit shabby and in need of some upgrades. But you can tell the owner is putting in work to make it a comfortable rental, and our family appreciated that. The appliances in the kitchen appeared to be new, and the place was very clean. The wall unit A/C was great for the heat wave that was going on while we were there. There are just a few details that would take this rental from serviceable to more cozy and comfortable. Blankets other than the comforters on each bed would be great - something for the living room to wrap up in while watching TV or reading on the couch. Better seating in the living room is a definite need - one small loveseat and two recliners was not ideal for our family. One of us often ended up sitting in a kitchen chair. The room is very large and could easily accommodate a couple longer couches or sectional. The kitchen windows also need blinds, especially since the home is next door to a school and post office and you can see right in. The house is located on a quiet street less than 5 min from the grocery store, which is helpful since restaurants in Forks are very limited. Bottom line: We are glad we stayed here for convenience of location, but it is definitely no frills.
The next time we are visiting the Olympic Peninsula we will gladly make this house our homebase. The host was quick to respond when we had difficulty with the locks upon arrival and when my teen left an earbud behind. Everything was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Plenty of bathroom towels, linens, and dishes/silverware. The pots, pans, and spices are very limited, so be sure to bring specific items you might need for stove-based cooking. Perfect for a group of 3-4.
This place had the basics but wasn’t the cleanest (hardwood floors were very dirty even though guests are paying a 180 cleaning fee?!) and it felt a bit empty (lots of empty wall space, no plants, and limited decor). The lighting was also odd (there are fluorescent garage-type lights throughout the house). Pros: It was spacious and is a good base for exploring La Push and Hoh rainforest.
This place was perfect for national park exploration! After several days of hotels, my kids were so happy to have their own rooms. And the adults were so glad to have a kitchen! The house is cute and clean and well stocked. We could have stayed longer.
This 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house worked great for our group of 4. We made our breakfast and packed our lunches there. It is within walking distance of some restaurants. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable.
