Mid century modern home in a quiet neighborhood, conducive to good rest, relaxation and sleep. Convenient, short walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Our only significant issue was that some of the kitchen appliances (toaster and coffee maker) needed to be cleaned before we could use them. One notices a slight musty smell upon entering the home. But we just needed a convenient place to sleep, since we were out all day. So it met our needs.

We stayed in our host home during heavy rainstorms. Got to the home later than expected, waiting for a break in the storms.Our host was super sweet. This is a great location, we would have walked to the shops and restaurants but the rain was non-stop.Would have loved to have spent some time in the screened in gazebo. Beautiful home and yard.

We had a delightful stay. The house was cozy and inviting. Its proximity to the main streets of Yellow Springs was perfect. We walked to meals and shops. Delightful. And it was so close to Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve and the Helen Glen Preserve as well. Excellent hiking and birding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our host was super responsive. All around great visit.

Very impressed with this home and very pleased with the location. Within walking distance of the entire downtown of Yellow Springs. Very comfortable bed and living area. I highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway or and extended stay in the Yellow Springs area. Highly recommended!

This property is just a few blocks from restaurant and shops. The home is cozy with plenty of books and games if rain intrudes on your trip. The host allowed us to set the thermostat at our comfort level, which is a real plus since most hosts have a hands off policy. We would stay again.

This is a charming quiet retreat right in the heart of town. The proximity to Glen Helen and the downtown area is great and makes it easy to come and go throughout the day without having to get in the car. The host was thoughtful and available and we very much enjoyed our stay. Yellow Springs is an awesome community well worth checking out. This home felt like the perfect way to experience it.

Advertised a recliner but it didn’t function. She was told ahead of time that I sleep in a recliner. When I told her she said sorry but made no attempt to fix it. Place needs dehumidifier and air filter. Musty. Could not stay. Refused reimbursement.

The house was cute and the location was perfect! Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was quiet with lots of pretty plants and big trees. It was a very nice, relaxing experience and definitely plan to stay here again in the future.

Everything was as pictured and described and the communication was excellent. Even light switches were lableled, which was a thoughtful touch. The location was perfect: steps away from shops, restaurants, and a nature preserve, but on a quiet street where you could rest at the end of a busy day.

Our main purpose of visiting Yellow Springs was to visit a good friend. Our stay was certainly enhanced by the owner's house and all of its amenities, including an outside gazebo. The owner was an excellentcommunicator, providing detailed and clear instructions when we arrived and immediately responsive to all of our questions. Also the house's location was conveniently located in a charming neighborhood near the village of Yellow Springs.

This property is 1/2 of a '50's-era house that serves as a residence when not rented out. The host was very helpful and accommodating, answering all my questions promptly, and even allowing me to check in a couple of hours early. Everything was clean and functional, and there is a gazebo in which I could secure my bike and keep it out of the weather. The kitchen reflects the age of the house, with a remarkable turquoise wall oven, but is well-equipped. Due to space requirements, the microwave is on a bookshelf in the adjoining great room. The great room has a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books with popular titles that range back to the '70's, and contains an old upright grand piano that you are invited to play. If you are a fan of older movies, there is an extensive collection of movies on VHS tape and the player to go with, along with DVD's etc. The bathroom is a bit dated but functional. The single small bedroom is essentially filled by a queen-size bed, with a wall closet. As you may know, Yellow Springs is a pretty fun little town, and it's walking distance to the downtown. Overall, it's a more utilitarian property suited to people such as myself spending a few days hiking and biking, or biking through, as opposed to a 'romantic couples weekend', so 4 stars instead of 5.
