It was a very cute location. Nice and peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. Definitely recommend staying here if you need a cozy place to stay near Bark River or Escanaba!
This cottage was the perfect stay.It was absolutely stocked with whatever you need .The whole place was spotless too.The view of the lake was great for sunrises.
Had a great stay. The property was really nice with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan!! The host was very helpful when I contacted him. I would definitely recommend to other people!! And would also consider staying again as a repeat vacationer to this destination. Would like to thank the host Steve for having us.
This is one of the best stay’s we have had in a long time! It is peaceful, beautiful views of the water. It is retro chic! hubby and I were going down memory lane about my grandma in the best way! She was a wonderful woman! She taught all her grandchildren how to play….Alley Cat! The record was there! Loved, loved, loved it here! We will definitely be back! Just a great experience!
The lake view is definitely the most important point of this cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only negatives at all are mosquitoes- bring bug spray. The hot water was a little bit limited. We absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommended it The nostalgia of the stove, table and dishes is also enjoyable.
Very nice property with a great view of the lake from the living room. Host was very easy to communicate with, and it was clear the host wanted us to enjoy our visit
The house was exactly as advertised. A cozy, quiet getaway that offered some much needed R and R after a busy summer. The sky views at night were amazing and we had a great time sitting around the fire. 10/10 would come back
The house is adorable! Right on Green Bay, with direct water access. The lake was low, so it was very muddy and rocky at the shore. As much as we loved the house and space, when we first walked in we got a HUGE nose full of mold. I get it, it's an older property right on the lake, but I didn't expect it to be that strong. We aired out the house and bought candles to reduce the smell, but unfortunately we are reactive to mold, and we ended up not being able to breathe well. The hosts were VERY gracious about it all, and refunded our money for the days we couldn't stay. If you aren't reactive to mold, it might not be bad for you! But if you are, I'd suggest looking for something else.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you found the house adorable, enjoyed its location on Lake Michigan, and appreciated our efforts to work with you when you decided to leave early.
We do want to clarify that we have never had another guest mention a moldy smell at the property—either before or since your stay. We take concerns about the condition of the house very seriously, and had there been an indication of a mold issue, we certainly would have investigated it immediately.
We’re proud of the many positive reviews from guests who have enjoyed the house, its location, and the experience we provide. Those reviews speak for themselves and reflect the experience the vast majority of our guests have had.
We absolutely loved this quaint cottage. There were so many thoughtful details such as small flashlights on the bedside tables, q-tips in the bathroom, plenty of dishes and cookware, a picnic table to enjoy meals outside and a beautiful view. We felt so comfortable and the property was quiet which we loved. Communication was excellent with the hosts. I would recommend this stay to anyone. We are hoping to come back this fall!
Even before our stay, Steve answered every question I had and offered some helpful tips. The cottage was exactly as described and we loved the vintage feel. The location right on the lake is unbeatable! The water level was low this summer so it was a little more challenging to get into the lake, but that happens and is no fault of the host. We found croquet in the shed and enjoyed eating every meal outside on the picnic table. The location is blissfully quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for as a getaway.
This exceptionally tidy cottage is in a great location, has very comfy bedding, and the hosts made the process so easy. One thing to note is that the water pump is a little noisy, so take care with water use if someone is sleeping.
My family of 4 stayed here for two nights and unanimously wished we were staying longer. You cannot beat the lake views and sunrises. We enjoyed the firepit, grill and playing yard games and riding bikes on the quiet gravel road. Even my young kids commented on how clean everything was. Fabulous stay!
