Located in Fort Morgans Bay to Breakers Private Community!

Welcome to the Lazy Lizard! The Lazy Lizard beach house was built in 2013 & completely redecorated in 2022, locates in Bay to Breakers on the Fort Morgan peninsula of Gulf Shores. If you like peace & quiet when you are on vacation, then this is the place for you. The beach at the end of the boardwalk is private to our Bay to Breakers Community.

The large Saline pool and kiddie pool is just steps away. This is community pool but i have never seen more than a family of 4 in it, so there are no crowds out here, just beauty and peace to enjoy.

The Lazy Lizard offers 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths!

BEDROOM #1: MASTER KING SUITE (downstairs) private bath, with a flat screen TV and private deck that opens off the master with a view of the pool and gulf.

BEDROOM #2: (upstairs) offers queen bed, bunk beds(twin over full) and a flat screen tv

BEDROOM #3: (upstairs) offers full size bed and flatscreen tv

BEDROOM #4: (upstairs) offer 2 twin beds and flatscreen tv.

There is a large bath located upstairs as well as a large sun deck for sunning, reading or just relaxing!

There is a large living area with a flat screen TV, and kitchen/dining combo all open with the living area and french doors leading out to a covered/screened porch for dining and relaxing while enjoying the view and the constant breeze between the gulf and the bay. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.

The swimming pool is 25 feet from the bottom of the stairs, and the beach is a 700 foot walk to the boardwalk onto our private Sandy white beach. We are on a private beachside road so no fighting for parking or a place to plant on the beach. If you get tired of the beach and pool we also have deeded access to the pier into the bay across the street so you can go fishing or take your lawn chair and sit and watch the sunset. We have added a fire pit to the back yard so you can sit out by a fire and enjoy the evening breeze.

Underneath the house is ample parking and a place for grilling (charcoal grill) or having a shrimp boil. Well behaved dogs are welcome for a pet fee and must remain on a leash whenever they are off of our property, but the Fort Morgan beach is the only beach in Gulf Shores that allows your dog actually on the beach with you to play.

The construction of the Lazy Lizard was completed in 2013 and everything is shiny and new. We have hired a professional management company for the house so that any needs that might arise during your stay are tended to promptly.**** ADDITIONAL PET FEE'S IF YOU BRING YOUR DOG!************* $100 per pet

My family and grandparents stayed for the week. No issues whatsoever. The pool being so close was great for my kids. Short walk to the beach. Would stay again for sure. Host was easy to work with. Fort Morgan is the best.

Comfortable, spacious beach home conveniently located next to the neighborhood pool and easy, close beach access. We did enjoy our stay despite issues with the Wifi and the AC, both of which were dealt with by management in a fair amount of time. We appreciate the ability to bring our leashed dogs on the beach and into the home. The Ft. Morgan Beach area is a great location if you want to get away from a busy beach and relax.

I love Bay to Breakers

House was great. Nice screened in deck area for outdoor dining and great uncovered deck that overlooked the community pool. Just a short walk to the beach and close enough to walk to Tacky Jacks. I'd stay here again in a minute!

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Lazy Lizard. Furnishings and plenty of room for 8 adults I child and 2 dogs. Close to the pool, the beach and fishing in the bay. All the amenities that we needed were just a few minutes away. Thank you to Liz Brand for providing a beautiful beach home to stay in. Would love to stay again next trip.

Nice for groups and families. Great location.

This home has lots of space for gathering in the living area and out on the patio. We watched some beautiful sunsets by the patio and beach. The pools were nearby so we could watch the kids from the patio. We had a few maintenance issues which were addressed. The beach was close. The kids bedroom was ideal for all the girls to be together. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great location with easy access to the beach

We were very happy to have rented this property for a week at spring break. It was a short walk to either the beach or the neighborhood-maintained pier on the inland side of the peninsula. The pool is right next door as well which was convenient. I will also say high winds and other potential noises COULD have been a factor but were not because the house seems very well insulated/sealed and was very quiet inside for sleeping. I would recommend!

What we needed

Beautiful beach, not crowded and great family atmosphere. Pools next to house were never crowded but did have regular use. The decks on the house are a wonderful feature. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and small appliances including a crock pot and nice pots and pans. We enjoyed a Ferry Ride to the Aquarium on Dauphin Island and ate at Tacky Jacks and Sassy Bass at Kiva Dunes. Tammi was very responsive to questions we had before we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

Hidden gem

Our first time staying at the Lazy Lizard, second time staying in Ft Morgan. This home was absolutely beautiful, perfect for our family and we enjoyed it! We met the owners Liz and Danny they were super nice and helpful. Tammi the property manager was awesome to work with too! It was easy access to the beach and the pool is right next to the house. Our favorite spot in the home was the enclosed deck eating area, we could hear the waves of the ocean and feel the light breeze. I highly recommend staying here! We look forward to coming back next year!

Annual Beach Trip

The house was large and had lots of porches. It was well stocked and had the best AC unit ever! The neighborhood was quiet. Would recommend getting a wagon or golf cart to carry gear to beach. We rented a tent for a week and it stayed up all week. The water was beautiful, some seaweed on beach, but our family loved Ft Morgan. The house is next to the pool area and it was beautiful on the deck at night with the ocean breeze and the pool lights.

Away From the Maddening Crowd

Fort Morgan was the perfect place to vacation for my family of 10. There were 6 adults and 4 children, ranging in age from 8 to 14. The house was comfortably furnished with the screened-in porch and master bedroom deck our favorite spots. Our hardest decision each morning was rather to go to the pool or the beach. The house has parking underneath with shower facilities outside to wash away all the sand. Located next to the pool and a short walk to the beach made it ideal. Tacky Jacks 2 is close by for for food and drinks as is Sassy Bass, a restaurant and small market. Fort Morgan is 5 minutes away. We liked being away from all the hustle and bustle of Orange Beach but still being able to go there if we wanted.

Great Fort Morgan Property!

We loved our stay at the Lazy Lizard! The pool location was very close and we enjoyed there being 2 pools. The pools were never too crowded, which was also a plus. Beach access is very close as you just need to walk down to the end of the court to access it. Just a heads-up that there are multiple preset canopies/tents on the beach to rent which are worth the cost to claim your spot on the beach. We did not do that this trip and had to find a spot to set up our own pop-up canopy, which we still had room for, but it would have been worth it to rent one and have your spot claimed everyday and not fuss with bringing your own. The house setup was great for our multiple families and we enjoyed the big kitchen, screened-in porch, and multiple decks. Very quiet location, which we loved! Beds are all comfortable and hot water lasts even when multiple people are showering after the beach. We would love to return!

Our family is from Huntsville, al and has always dreamed of owning a vacation home at the beach. We rented a house in Ft. Morgan a few years back and fell in love with the area and the beaches, so we have finally had our dream come true.

Why they chose this property

We love the laid back, uncrowded Fort Morgan area, it is a beautiful ride out Hwy 180 to Bay to Breakers and it is only a 20 minute ride to Hwy 59, the super Walmart and an easy jaunt to the strip in Gulf Shores, the property is pet friendly as well as the beach.

What makes this property unique

Take long walks on the miles of uncrowded beaches, go fishing on the pier, take a dip in the pool, or just sit on one of the 3 decks and enjoy the views and breeze.
