Our sweet cottage vacation rental has it all for a blissful stay
It's the perfect place for reclaiming precious downtime. Converse with nature and breathe deeply as you walk in the woods, meander in the meadow, or picnic creekside on our pondering patio. Walk our wondrous labyrinth, cozy up ‘round a crackling fire, find simplicity in old-fashioned board games, corn hole or horseshoes.
Then, at night, connect with the magical night-time stars through the bedroom skylight as you fall peacefully asleep.

This was such an incredible experience and the most perfect birthday gift! It was very comfortable and we had such the perfect hosts! They are probably the best hosts we’ve ever encountered with their welcoming and respectful manner! You aren’t far away from adventure time such as the wild life safari or even an amazing night at the casino. Dog friendly but make sure your dog is trained. Next time we come out we’re bringing our kids they would love it! Everything you need is there plus a taste of what nature has to offer. Our first morning we woke up to a family of deer at this beautiful place. Thank you for having us!

The cabin was super cute and very well stocked with the basic needs. There were even some extras like foil and sandwich bags. We explored the property our first morning and found the river peaceful and the Labyrinth was a treat!The bed was firm but we didnt wake up uncomfortable like you do sometimes sleeping away from home, so that was great! The TV had Netflix as they said, but also had aps loaded like Direct tv which we use at home so we were able to log on with our password and watch all our DVR shows! Although lovely and worthy of 5 stars, I will add a couple comments that would probably only apply to seniors or disabled, which my husband and I are. At no time did the host claim it was ADA approved. We know our limits and book to the best of our knowledge. I was super happy to find that the property was mostly gentle sloaps and I could walk everywhere! (I have a traumatic spinal injury) The cabin itself has a front deck with a small board to use for a step on to the porch itself. I had no trouble with it and it has a rubber top for better traction. The last comment, again, will not apply to all. There is no sink in the bathroom, for space reasons I can assume. The bathroom is directly off the kitchen so you can brush your teeth in the kitchen sink. My husband and I both wear dentues, so setting up our dental needs at the kitchen sink was a bit awkward. Again, it won't apply to most but its good to know if a bathroom sink is important for you. All in all, a great stay!

If you're lucky enough to see her, our black cat Bastet has her own following & the sound of my cello is calling me... Can't wait to meet you!

Why they chose this property

Our healthy & diverse ecosystem of 13 acres are host to a Wildlife Sanctuary of LOTS of local critters - birds, fox, squirrel, skunk, turkey, deer, wolf, cougar & black bear! Bring boots and a good coat for exploring the meadow, pond, woods & stream. Stare at the stars & sing around the fire pit into the night.

Our toasty cottage catches you after your day's adventure or tour of local wineries! Blissful Solitude Cottage is your private heated cabin with a large queen bedroom, living room, island bar, full kitchen & bathroom. Revive yourself with our great hot shower before tumbling into the incredibly comfortable bed. Sweet dreams!

Kitchen is stocked with dishes, cooking pans & such, wine glasses, coffee making equipment & teapot.

The second bed is a twin-size mattress with a cot frame that is stored in the closet. Let us know if you'd like to use it so we can leave you the bedding for you to pull it out of the closet & set it up yourself. Or, if you'd like us to do that for you - we can pull it out, set it up, make the bed so it's ready for your arrival & then undo all this for an extra fee of $25. (We must know this in advance to be able to accommodate you!) Your choice.

Your Nature Escape starts when you pull into the driveway. To your right is Blissful Solitude Cottage & the entire cottage is yours! We welcome your wandering & hope you savor the 13-acre property by strolling up the driveway -

Enjoy your lunch on the picnic table at the top of the meadow, walk through the meadow below. Enter the woods anywhere past the pond to discover the sweet trail by the bubbling brook. Go left to find the River Lookout to ponder Life by the creekside firepit.

Stroll our Labyrinth, play corn hole or our 9 hole (3 holes & 3 tees) Frisbee Golf course! Back in the cottage we offer board games & puzzles or another opportunity to savor the front porch firepit.

Explore to your heart's content! The roads & creek are our property boundaries. Enjoy!
