Humboldt Park is a vibrant and historic neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side, known for its deep Puerto Rican roots, beautiful green spaces, and artistic spirit. Notably, L. Frank Baum wrote The Wonderful Wizard of Oz while living just steps from Humboldt Park, adding a touch of literary magic to its rich legacy. Today, the neighborhood is celebrated for its iconic Paseo Boricua, colorful murals, historic greystone architecture, and strong community pride that honors its past while embracing creative growth.
