Great location and good sized nicely equiped apartment. Great washer and drier. Only negatives were the sofa bed was very uncomfortable (managed to pad it with extra blankets) and it could have had a more thorough vacuum (though clean otherwise)

What an amazing location. So close to both the beach and town. Meters away from excellent cafes (highly recommend Beach Babylon). Bus stop close by. Clean and tidy - shoes off which is great. Kitchen well appointed with tea coffee. Bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. A fantastic space for two couples. We had five pax - fold outs were not comfortable enough to use, so it was just the couch for our number five. They slept okay, and had earplugs for street noise. Don’t forget your swim goggles and beach towel for Freyberg pool or an ocean swim. Running shoes to join the park run.

Hair on the bathroom ceiling. Hair on the floor. This place had so much hair - including you know what kind in the sheets - that it needs a good shave. The ‘host’ Is transactional but responsive. You’re paying for the location, not cleanliness here. You can pay extra for parking in their garage. This is a money making operation providing the minimum. Although if you like onion powder this is the rental for you. You’re not allowed food or drink in the bedroom so if that’s critical to your holiday, stay away. Aside from the human hair, the place is functional. It lacks a hairdryer, fitting pot lids or a sieve. The lamps in the main bedroom are not working, due to electrical fault. It’s fun discovering what is wrong and right - like there is no smoke alarm in the second bedroom and the windows don’t lock and despite a black out curtain, the residence out the back has security lights that flood the room at night. The dated coffee table is plastic wrapped for some reason, so a nice surface to spill on and wipe down. It’s affordable for the location but a bit gross. The apartment is opposite the beach which is great - it’s also opposite a car park that when the cars exit at night glare into the living area creating an amazing atmosphere of sudden illumination.The house numbers may lead to confusion with 3 listed, (a,b,c) but only 2 for rent. The food delivery guy got confused too. We wouldn’t stay again.
