The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
There is no dishwasher and you will have to wash the dishes at the sink. Please wash all used dishes and leave them on the drying rack. Also, please leave any used towels/sheets on the floor.
Garbage pickup is every Wednesday. You will find the bin between the sun-room and bathroom (outside the house). Please leave the garbage bin by the road. All trash must be inside the bin for pick-up
There is no washer or dryer at the house. There are a few local laundromats (Rinse Cycle Laundromat in Lawrence is one). Or you can wash by hand and use the drying rack (in the sun-room)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The big issue was the listing, which said it could sleep 4 and that it had 2 bedrooms. It cannot and does not. It had one bedroom with one bed, and a 2nd room with chairs in it. Upon complaint, the owner acknowledged the error, informed us that there were air mattresses in the closet, and refunded us one night's stay. It was labor day and there was nowhere else to go, so we made do. The listing has been corrected now, and I can say that otherwise it's a nice place, fully equipped (although oddly lacking a knife), clean and functional.

I love the little cottage on the lake as it has amazing views of the lake, awesome neighbors, open layout with vaulted ceiling, and very quiet and peaceful! You will only hear birds chirping outside! As I am away most of the time, I listed the place on VRBO so travellers like me can also enjoy the cottage! If you like kayaks, boats or just swimming in the lake - you will love this place!
