Historic Jim Bridger Cabin 3

Off grid/dry cabin - camping cabin, no electricity, no running water, wood stove, folding double cot and single cots for beds. Cabin is located in a meadow next to a stream and surrounded by public land. Bathroom is an outhouse with compost/bucket toilet. Come prepared with your own bedding,lighting, and cookware/eating utensils. Cabin was originally built at the north entrance to Yellowstone in the 1930s and moved to its current location/refurbished recently.

Surrounded by public land, 10 minutes from the Yellowstone River, Dailey lake, hot spring resort, bars/restaurants, post office, fly shop, laundromat, general store, and fuel- 40 minutes from Yellowstone Parks north entrance

Normal transportation is fine- keep in mind the property is accessible by dirt road, may not be suitable for sports cars/classic cars/road bikes.

Camping cabin- please clean up and take all waste with you- pack it in pack it out

This cabin is a place of beauty and solitude--absolutely amazing! The description should brag more about the rushing creek about 10 feet from the cabin. This cabin is extremely secluded, but the directions will get you there (just note that I never even saw a sign for Chico Road--you literally drive out the back of the parking lot of the Chico hotel/hot spring/saloon onto a gravel road that looks like it goes nowhere--THAT is Chico Road.) Female solo traveler and felt safe. More pictures would draw more campers. There is a beautiful setup with a picnic table and the propane stove overlooking the creek. When there is NOT a fire ban, there is a firepit and seating by a little pond just beside the cabin. A small fire in the woodstove at dinnertime kept the cabin warm all night (outside temp, about 45). Would love to stay longer.
