The place was clean and we felt safe in the neighborhood. However, I spent an hour trying to get the dishwasher to run. I messaged the host and they told me they were having trouble with the dishwasher the day before we arrived. This would have been good to know ahead of time. Then when we went to wash the dishes by hand, there was no dish soap.

Hi Kevin, I hate to hear you spent so much time on the dishwasher. I don’t require guests to do their dishes, even though it is a treat when they do! There was soap under the sink, I hope you looked there! I am sorry this little hiccup happened for you.

This was perfect as a stop over on the way to Kansas City. The sofa was a little low and soft, which made getting out of it a source of hilarity for us, but the twin bed I slept in was nice and firm….assuming the other beds were equally good. The host went out of her way, even providing us with food for breakfast in the morning, which saved us time on our way to our final destination.
