A well maintained home with the owners providing a well stocked and very clean home. Lara the property manager is outstanding and responds lightning fast to any question. Would certainly recommend this property
Great stay for family of 6. We skied during the day, relaxed during the evening. Kitchen was well equipped for family meals and communication with owners was very timely. Would stay again.
Great cabin, very clean, and wonderful host! Very easy to communicate with! This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this cabin and absolutely love it!

Great place for a get away!
This was a cute 3 bedroom house in a nice community with a lake, walking trails, tennis courts and more. The house itself was comfortable and updated with a well stocked kitchen. We had a great time for our thanksgiving get away!
The home and location were wonderful! We had some warmer temperatures than expected but had an absolutely amazing time! Thank you so much for your hospitality ❤️
Loved our time spending Thanksgiving with family and friends in this beautiful location. It was perfect for our family in every way. Would love to make it an annual tradition. The neighborhood was was decorated beautifully for Christmas already. Linville land Harbor is an awesome place.!! A great place to spend any holiday:)
We had a tremendous time! Went to waterfalls, shopping, Grandfather Mountain and skiing and tubing at Sugar Mountain ski Resort. The kids didn't want to leave!
House was very cozy and well-suited for a family of 3 and one dog. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. The only thing I noticed was a weird stain on one of the bedroom floors upstairs, but it was out of the way of foot traffic and easily avoided. The location was great - close to Sugar Mountain for skiing and grocery stores. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and will likely stay again if available! Thanks for a great stay in the mountains!
Great community that has everything. Alison was very responsive to any questions. The house has everything that you need. It is nice that it is walking distance to the pool, lake, and game room. The covered porch with the swing was great to enjoy the weather.
We loved our stay. The keyless entry made things much easier since we didn't have to trust kids with keys. The back deck was nice and relaxing. The owner was quite prompt when we wanted to add some time to the beginning of our stay. We took a card for future bookings since it's only a half mile from our family.
This our 3rd or 4th visit to Birch Lane and it truly feels like home. We love having 2 decks to enjoy, one open and one covered. The layout of a bedroom and bath downstairs and then the upstairs layout is open and spacious. A/C units in all of the rooms is great especially for the few summer evenings that get warmer. Communication with the host is Excellent! Unit is always very clean. We bring our own blankets which is just for those that get chilly when sleeping. We truly are so thankful to have this property to stay in!!
Driving through a winter storm, we were tired and cold when we arrived. We we’re welcomed by a warm, comfortable space we’re all eight of us were able to easily settle in for the night. Just fifteen minutes from the slopes, we were able to ski all day and get back to the cabin without much fuss. The kitchen was clean, with all the typical amenities. Why is the kind a property you’d expect to book year after year.
property manager was outstanding. we had problems with the back door and a smoke alarm. he handled them right away. house was clean and everything was In good working condition. I would suggest up grading the furniture.

Perfect family getaway
This chalet is beautifully maintained. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 (+ dog). We were a short drive away from the ski slopes, hiking trails with breathtaking views along the way. Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Caverns, Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort all within minutes. Though the pool area was closed in the winter, it was just a short walk away. Supermarket and restaurants are also a short drive away, as well as shops for all your hiking/skiing needs.
The highchair, pack n play and baby gate really made our travelling load a lot lighter and helped immensely with the little one. Really felt like we picked the perfect location for our vacation. Can't wait to come back in the summer!
Overall stay was ok. The house was musty smelling when we arrived and we had to air out.
Dated, but fairly clean. Tv’s in bedrooms didn’t work. Biggest issue was WiFi was cut off the last night which we needed to finish work related stuff . Still haven’t been answered as to why.
This was a nice cabin in Linville Land Harbor.
Pros:
-excellent neighborhood and amenities
-great, fast communication from management
-very clean cabin
-good location in Land Harbor with lovely trees, good parking, and easy access
-beautiful area with lots of trees and birds
-quiet
Cons:
-large front deck has no umbrellas/shade and is hot during the day
-upstairs bathroom is tight with short ceilings/doors (although, they did a great job utilizing the available space--just might be a problem if you're tall)
-stairs to the upstairs bedrooms and bath are pretty steep (one bedroom and bath are downstairs)
Good to know:
-pool is open 10-5 or 10-6 in the summer with lap swim hours earlier
-there is parking for two cars
-the internet was reliable but not as fast as we're used to
-there is cable TV which worked well
-a/c are window units (worked fine for us in June)
-cell phone coverage is spotty (Verizon phone--not unusual in the mountains)
Overall, we would definitely stay here again and enjoyed our visit.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disappointment
It was horrible when we got to the chalet to sleep, there was pet hair everywhere including the sheets and pillows, and my kids are allergic. My eleven-year-old son complained all the time, only a TV, there is no fireplace but the photo shows it, the air conditioning is very old, this is a place we will definitely not go back, every year we visit the mountains and this chalet needs a lot of improvement. The owner is super kind and attentive and communication is easy, but the cleanliness is terrible.

Cozy but roomy!
Lovely area/neighborhood. Quiet, but close to shopping and things to do! And it wasn't hard to find in our arrival after dark. Big plus!
There were 5 of us, and we never felt cramped in the kitchen or living room area. Upstairs bedrooms are roomy! They share a jack & jill bathroom - that tall people need to watch their heads in with the slanted roof. We appreciated the entry-level bedroom for my father-in-law who just had heart surgery. Beds are comfortable, and everything you need is there (towels, dishes, etc). Loved the deck off the upstairs bedroom, too.
The home has a wonderful, large deck with plenty of seating, and a covered porch if the weather gets out of hand. We took our 100-lb Mastiff, and she was comfortable in this home. Plenty of lovely neighborhood for walking her! It is hard to find rentals accepting pets, and I appreciated the comfort and environment this home provided for her and us.
We would gladly stay here again!
