Air conditioning set at a temperature 70 than during leaving or sleeping would go up to 82 inside the house.First few days ok but than next door so many people and so much noise!!’putting green takin over by children and adults not so much frustration as we brought our clubs

Mr. Schaeffer - your accusation about our air conditioner is simply not true. I am not aware of, nor do we have installed, any sort of system that monitors when guests arrive and leave that in turn adjusts the temperature in the cottage - same thing for the temp at night - we just don't have anything like that in any of our units - and if there is such a system, I can only imagine that it would be insanely cost prohibitive for an individually owned 1500 square foot cottage. At no time have we ever indicated that we are an "adult only" property. We have never had a noise complaint in the 6 years that we have rented the cottages and while we apologize that you felt your neighbors were too noisy - our cottages are located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina - a well-known family destination. We welcome families and children and hope that we provide a vacation destination that they can enjoy fully.

The property was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The only issue I had was the property management was slow at returning messages about questions I had. Check in was super easy with detailed instructions. I would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyable stay with access to great perks!

We had a nice stay overall — the property was clean, comfortably furnished, and the host was responsive and easy to work with. The amenities were a real highlight: we loved the putting green and chipping course (The Killie), appreciated access to the athletic club pool (though it’s more of a lap pool than a lounging one), and made great use of the beautiful golf course and water park tickets. All of these added meaningful value to our trip.That said, a few things kept this from being a five-star experience. Several windows lacked coverings, which created privacy concerns in the evenings. The home is also located fairly close to a main road, so traffic noise was noticeable at times, esp the mornings. We noticed some visible wear and tear throughout.The kitchen had most of the basics, but could benefit from a quick inventory and refresh — there were only four dinner plates, and a few items like the cutting board and large non-stick pan were past their prime. The dishes and utensils were a bit mismatched, which didn’t impact function but did take away from the overall feel. The absence of a garbage disposal made cleanup a little less convenient.One final note: it seems construction crews may be frequent tenants in the area. It didn’t disrupt our stay, but it’s something to keep in mind depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for.Overall, we enjoyed our time and truly appreciated the resort-style perks. With a few updates, this could be a top-tier rental.
