About the host
Hosted by Laura Locke
I'm a 3rd generation host of a family owned and operated resort! My maternal grandparents became owners and entrepreneurs in 1960.
My siblings and I grew up just a couple of miles down the road and spent our summers with Grandma & Grandpa at the lake. These lazy summer days spent in the sun and on the water have become some of my most cherished childhood memories.
I chose to host the property so others can experience the magic and nostalgia of a simpler time from years gone by.

Why they chose this property
Situated on over 8 acres, tucked into a southeast bay on Big Turtle Lake you will find the remaining 4 of our 6 original cabins. With hundreds of feet of sandy shoreline, towering white pines, picnic tables and charcoal grills you will find an almost parklike setting with unobstructed water views.
What makes this property unique
Our property is small and quiet in comparison to others nearby. You won't find a bar or restaurant and there is no pool or live music.
What you will find is a peaceful, family friendly place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake. Whether you stay up late at the fire to count the stars and listen to the loons or if you're up with the sun and a hot cup of coffee, ready to go wet a line, you are sure to find this location to be the perfect destination to relax, unplug and unwind!
