A much-loved home welcomes you along with all of the wonders that Greenport has to offer. Within a two block radius you can be feasting on world-class Japanese, French, or one of the amazing raw bars.
The house is situated a jaunty 10 minutes walk from two gorgeous beaches.
Throughout you’ll feel how much care has been invested here - be it the Turkish linens or the restorative new mattresses. Art books, novels, and a projector with all streaming services help to fill an ideal summer.
The master bedroom provides a feeling of serene luxury, while the second bedroom charms equally. The third bedroom has double bunks - perfect for kids or teens or just anyone with a sense of nostalgia and fun.
You will wake up to birdsong.
Enjoy the garden, which features a deck with seating for 8, a new grill, a fire pit, and a hammock.
The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your brilliance, with a functional gas fireplace and a dining table for 8.
Many New Yorkers will be thrilled to know there’s no need for cars, the house is a five minute walk from the train station and the Jitney. It’s a walking village.
The Oyster House is much like its namesake, it’s a treat.

You were such great guests, I hope to have you again!
The house was so artfully decorated! And the walk into downtown Greenport was so easy. Alex was very responsive and we had an amazing time! The wineries are very close by, views of the ocean are around the corner and the house itself is quiet and calm. It was a lovely holiday escape!
This place is awesome. Alex has done a fantastic job creating a warm and welcoming environment. The house itself is very cool. Tastefully decorated and spacious. Everything worked well. We felt right at home. The location is quite convenient, too. Short walk to the main part of Greenport.Alex is a fantastic host. Very responsive and kind. Truly differentiated. We felt right at home. If you are looking for a cool and inviting spot in Greenport (with a great host!) , we highly recommend staying here!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Grass was not mowed, at almost knee height. Kids and dogs could not utilize yard nor could we safely utilize the fire pit. You can literally see the kitchen through the upstairs master bedroom floor as well as hear everything going on in each room, respectively. One of our kids slipped and fell in the upstairs claw foot tub as it is too high and next to a window with no safety rail and multiple thrifted shower curtains which are too long hung around. The stairs are steep and slick as I fell and fractured 3 ribs and also had internal contusions (bruising of spleen). Neighbor in blue house diagonally across the street has camera pointed at the home. Neighbors next door in smaller white home lets dog bark at 6am and constantly slams door when we were outside. When our autistic childs therapy dog barked because she was separated from the child while at a wedding, a neighbor called police although police went there and it was silent. Spoke with the police and he said it was fine, no issues, just a disgruntled neighbor it seemed.
We had a great weekend visit from the city! The house was in a perfect location to walk to everything and host was super communicative for recommendations

Hi Brad, you were actually my first VRBO guest and I was so excited. And then there was a comedy of errors - for some reason the bottom floor shower stopped working, you felt you'd overpaid, you thought the the place was dirty, you hatred the ants that come into every historical house during summer. in Greenport I was communicative at all times, and drioe up as soon as you check out. A had a handyman fix the shower immediately, inspected the house with my cleaner to try and understand what could be better, and sent a substantial discount to you of nearly a thousand dollars. I was so dispirited I almost stopped VRBO'ing. I'm so glad I didn't, every weekend through summer I've had the most wonderful guests who have enjoyed the kind of magical experience I hoped you would have had. I hope you and your wife are doing well and always try to welcome the even the hardest of feedback.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love instantly with Greenport. The natural beauty, the beaches, the friendly folk, the amazing food scene - it all just appealed to my inner Aussie. It was also important that it was so family friendly, given I have two tween boys.
What makes this property unique
The location of the property is so important, we don't own a car, so being able to walk everywhere is a blessing. The hammock in the yard makes for a perfect lazy day, the beach is always calling, when not dining locally, the kitchen and grill make cooking a joy. It's been built as a home, but is also fully prepared and equipped to welcome guests. All personal effects are stored in the shed over Summer, and a support staff is at hand at all times if needed.
