Our second year staying here. Love the location. Lots of activity on the little canal - birds, deer, fish. Plenty of room for our large family to spread out inside and out. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!
We enjoyed having two couches in the living room. We spent most of our daylight hours when there in the fantastic sunroom. It was a joy and a delight to sit there and look out the windows at the deer and the birds. We had great communication with the hosts. We will definitely be back.

Great Place
Me and my family stayed the 1st week of June and absolutely enjoyed the area. The house was clean and the kitchen was stocked with appliances you need. The beds were comfortable but needed new pillows. The kids enjoyed crabbing in the canal right outside.
This was a very pleasant and comfortable stay, I felt as if we were staying at a friend’s house for the week. The property manager was absolutely amazing and helpful! Some things are definitely a bit worn down but they are completely upfront about this!

Quiet and peaceful location
This is the 5th time we rented this house since 2020. We will very likely be back for another dose of relaxation here in 2025. Always rejuvenating!
Even when the weather was terrible, the sun porch was cozy and heated. The kitchen was well-stocked for lots of cooking and the rest of the space was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.
We had a wonderful time! Yes the property is an older double wide mobile home but It was cozy and comfortable and clean. Plenty of space inside and outside with all the amenities. It’s situated right next to a small body of water and we were able to fish and catch crabs. We would definitely stay there again!
Found this place and knew it was where we had to go for a long GIRLS WEEKEND! This was a true home. We had the sense that we were visiting friends.
The family who owns this home has decorated it with love and memories of family times together. Thank you for sharing that with your guests.
A great location for an active Chincoteague vacation. Close to town boat/kayak launch… pony swim lane.. fairgrounds.. and a short drive onto Assateague Island. House was clean and well stocked with vacation essentials.. don’t like a home personalized with knickknacks? Stay at a holiday inn… the AC was cold and the shower was hot! We had a great time!
The location is great. The space was comfortable and had everything we needed, plus extras. The rear porch was heavily utilized for morning coffee watching wildlife over the water (lots of birds, deer, and a visit from a muskrat) and evening relaxing. We crabbed and fished off the little dock, enjoyed home cooked meals and naps on the hammock.
This home is not new. It’s not fancy. It’s exactly as advertised. If you’re looking for bells and whistles, stay elsewhere and pay more. If you want a quaint space to accommodate a large family that’s comfortable, affordable, and fun, this is for you.

Will Not Be Coming Back
This property is super old and everything inside and out is very outdated. From the carpeting, kitchen appliances, beds, and couches - old and smelly. The plus is that everything seemed to be in a working order. However, we will not be staying in this house again.

Great location could use some love
Prior to renting I asked about several things, mold, and additional things like bikes and fishing poles. I did not receive an answer. The living area in the back was very musty. There a quite a few cosmetic things that could be done as well, mold in the air conditioner, opened wine, the screen door is falling apart and is duct taped. I absolutely loved the location, we were close to everything. Could use some updates (clean mattress covers, beach chairs, towels, a recommended list) or at least some fishing rods and bikes. The home needs to be treated from mold and sealed better. Again we loved the location.

Could use a good cleaning
The property owner and manager are very nice, and the location is lovely and easy assess to Assateague. The owners ask that we close the screen windows each time we leave the house, which is reasonable. But there must be 12 or so windows and they are impossible to close without exerting a ton of strength.
We really appreciated the washer and dryer. We loved the pier and picnic table on the canal ,and there was a lot of room for parking cars in the long driveway.
The trailer was old and not in the best repair. Although it appeared the trailer had been given a cleaning before my visit, it still could have used a deep clean (rugs, etc.). That said, the owners were nice and responsive. I enjoyed my time, though I think I might spend a little extra to get a nicer place next time.””

Waaay over priced for what it is!
Don’t be deceived. This property is an aging trailer house. The VBRO pics make it look well lit, bright, open, and clean. This is not the case. It’s dark, old, not remodeled, and original. There are several soft spots on the floor, the bathroom doors in the master bedroom have a bungee cord to hold them shut, the shower in the master is spungie and I would guess has a rotten floor under the tub unit. The shower liners have orange mold around the bottoms and haven’t been changed. The mattress covers were ripped and stained. The AC struggled to keep things cool. The fridge smelled of crab and fish and needed a deep clean. It needs an ant treatment as they were prolific. Overall cleanliness was upon entry was poor.
No linens. None.
Little details like dead batteries in the remote controls, dead or ailing plants outside, board games with pieces missing, and etc. These are huge things but don’t advertise them if they aren’t correct.
The location is great and the canal and porches were quite nice, but some of the seat cushions were missing.
Complete disappointment to say the least. Very misrepresented. I would have expected to pay half to a third of what they charged to spend a vacation in this old outdated trailer.
I have no idea how the reviews for this property are so good…
I hate being this negative and typically don’t leave reviews on anything I do or buy, but I don’t want other families to make this mistake

Your input is incredibly valuable as they take great pride in delivering excellent stays. Your review won't go unnoticed and will play a significant role in shaping better experiences moving forward.
The location on a creek is lovely. Because of weather and the time of year, we didn't spend any time enjoying the porch overlooking the creek.
One plus is they have actual cable tv on 3 tvs in the property, not just streaming, so we got live news.
Stairs are necessary to access the property, since the foundation is raised to avoid flooding. Chincoteague is flat and at sea level, this is not a complaint.
There were plenty of kitchen utensils, glassware and dishes.
The house itself appears to be an old mobile home. It could use some repair and updating. The screen door to the porch doesn't latch and is held together with duct tape, and initial access to the property is through the master bedroom. Bathrooms are very dated, switch plates old and rusty.. Ceilings have some cracks and flakes. Everything did work properly, however, so old and dated really is tolerable, just not desirable. We were charged for damage protection, the condition of the property didn't warrant that.
The two larger beds were reasonably comfortable, we didn't use the twins.
Our only annoyance is the laundry and cleaning policy. We had to bring our own sheets and towels. What if we were flying across the country to get there? If you don't bring linens, they charge $25 to supply linens and then require that you do the laundry before you leave. There is not time to do all the laundry before you leave and still make your flight or have enough time for a long drive. So either way causes a problem. The cleaning instructions upon our departure were detailed and we felt excessive since we were still charged a cleaning fee and asked to tip the cleaners. Nothing against the cleaning crew, the place was as clean as it was possible to make it when we got there.
The price was reasonable, but I would have rather paid more and had a property in better condition and not be nickeled and dimed over the sheets and towels.

Perfect for Large Families
We picked this rental for our wedding and first vacation as a blended family. My husband and our 5 children (between ages 12 and 5) stayed for a little less than a week. We loved spending our evenings on the front porch and watching the wildlife enjoying the water right outside the window. The available binoculars were a nice touch and much appreciated by our younger kids.
There was ample room for our large family to spread out and relax or spend the evening together. I enjoyed that I was still able to cook and prepare food for the beach in the kitchen that already had things like cookie sheets, cutlery, dinnerware and even a food processor and blender.
The kids are still talking about this trip and are anxious to come back to the island already. We would definitely rent this property again!
This was our third time at this house and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stays every time. We particularly like sitting on the back porch by the canal.
