Papa's Casita at SoJo Ranch

Relax in style at our poolside casita, nestled on a micro-ranch near Randolph Air Force Base. Perfect for pilots in training, travel nurses, or short-term stays.
Enjoy convenient access to the base or local activities while unwinding in your own private oasis.
Complete with all the comforts of home, including a cozy queen bed, a queen sofa bed, a full bathroom and a kitchenette, open access to the pool.
**THE POOL AND/OR SPA ARE NOT HEATED.
**Open May-Sept.
Your stay at the casita promises relaxation, peace and some animal fun ADULTS ONLY, please no children under 16 due to liability. The pool is open access.

Our main residence sits on 4.5 acres of a private estate/micro farm. You may get a visit from “Tucker” the ranch dog, see "Bullseye" the mini-horse, "Woody", the mini-donkey or “Jesse” the cow, or Buzz and Bo-peep, the sheep.
-Two pool cabanas are across the pool from the main house.
-The Casita, Unit #1 a (1 queen/1 queen sofabed) is where you will be located.
- If you need more space/beds, for an additional fee, the Bunkhouse (1 Queen bed and 1 Queen sofabed) is available to add.
-The pool area is the only shared space during your stay.
Our property is mostly wooded, so please don’t be surprised by the occasional critters.
We are nestled in a subdivision convenient to IH-10, 15 mins from downtown San Antonio, 25 mins to New Braunfels and river toobing, and 45 mins to Austin. Only 2 miles to the South Gate of Randolph Air Force base.

Sophie and Jose were excellent hosts, were very responsive, and the bungalow was pristine and well stocked. The animals were very sweet and welcomed all the petting and attention I want to give. I would definitely book with them again.

Great stay, clean, comfortable, nice neighborhood, and was perfect location to what I needed. Didn’t experience the pool as it’s off season right now, but I could tell it would be very nice when open. Animals on the property are adorable. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back when I return to visit family.

Petfect Hideaway!

It was perfectly quiet and serene just out of town. The Casita was very comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed swimming in the pool at night to cool off. The whole process was as easy as could be. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved it. Far enough away from town to enjoy the countryside as well as close enough to enjoy all San Antonio has to offer. Hosts did a great job of communicating and making sure we were well cared for. The working ranch and animals were an added bonus for us. Just what we needed!

Super happy with our week stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better space. Super cozy and we definitely enjoyed the pool. The animals were cute as well. Sophie and Jose were so accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely come back in the future!

Sophie and Jose were very good hosts as was Tucker the dog. We really liked the location as it was only a short drive to our family's house. (We were visiting from out of state.) The casita also had easy access to San Antonio and all that it has to offer. It would have been helpful if there was a sign on Papa's Casita as there is another casita near it so we were not completely sure we were in the right place. A welcome note would have been nice to confirm that we were indeed in the correct unit. The pool was nice and clean, in fact it was professionally cleaned the day after we arrived. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was great because it was in the shade under some trees.The casita was not as clean as we would expect. I could feel the dirt when I walked barefoot on the floor. There were a couple of large dead bugs on the floor but we were told that that's Texas. The kitchenette window was very dirty (this was cleaned the same day that we mentioned it). We did not have hot water until the third day as the elements on the water heater were burnt out. Jose fixed it asap.Sophie offered to refund the rest of our stay if we wanted to go somewhere else but we chose to stay and are glad that we did.

Everything was cleaned before you arrived. We have bugs in Texas, they come inside and they die. Can't control the elements on the water heater, but we fixed it as soon as you actually specified what the issue was. Other than just saying, things are broken and things are dirty. The fact that you said you just needed to chat with us live indicates to me you would probably do better with a hotel experience where you are met by someone at the customer service desk. I have nothing but good reviews and happy guests. You sir, are very needy and should consider hotels in the future, and definitely not my property. Good luck to you.

Perfect Place

We had a perfect stay for a family member's graduation. The room was quaint and perfect for my sister and I to enjoy. Although we weren't at the casita during the day to use the pool, it was lovely to have right outside the door. The animals were a sweet surprise, including the dog who greeted us on our last morning. Would recommend!
