I like the property very much. It's well situated, comfortable, but the spiral staircase to the loft bedroom may not be for everybody, though I liked it.

Excellent property, great location in a lovely city

The property is located in the old city and makes an excellent base for exploring. It is full of character which adds to its appeal. We enjoyed the croissants, chocolate biscuits, milk etc provided, and we appreciated that it was possible to use Netflix on the TV. Giovanni, the property manager, was very easy to contact and was hugely helpful with parking our car outside the ZTL area. On arrival he came and found us when we got lost and on the departure morning he drove us back to our car....grazie mille Giovanni!

Quite lovely

This apartment in historical Lecce was superb. It was clean, well furnished and had all the amenities. We were able to walk to the restaurants, cafes and shops easily. Giovanni the owner was extremely helpful with recommendations of restaurants, day trips and anything else we needed. Any requests was followed up immediately and Giovanni made sure all was okay. I would recommend this apartment to all our friends or relatives. A real gem!!

Lecce apt notesWe stayed in Lecce for almost a month. The apartment is perfectly located in the old town. It’s on a quiet street and within easy walking distance to everything. There is also plenty of free parking in a nearby neighborhood outside the Porta Napoli. It’s to close to food markets and we were able to cook a number of meals at home. Our host Giovanni was a gem. He’s one of the most responsive hosts I’ve met in my travels. He really wanted to accommodate us. Lecce is great base for exploring Salento.

Excellent location and very spacious

A lovely and very well appointed apartment in the historic centre, only a few minutes walk from the centre with all the bars, cafes and sights. Everything you could need was in the apartment, all very clean and even some welcoming food and drink. Giovanni was most helpful on directions, greeting us, explaining how everything worked (listen very carefully) and giving us tips on where to go, what to see and what beaches are good, depending on the weather/wind! He couldn't be more helpful. Plenty of space, with a good dining area, a nice lounge, good kitchen, great bathroom (shower was good), upstairs bedroom was lovely with much needed air-con (use the spiral staircase carefully) and a very spacious cellar with a big table and more sofas/beds. Only downsides a) was parking was a couple of streets away, but Giovanni again advised us where to park for the best rates (2-3 Euros per day, take lots of coins if you can) b) Not a lot of outside space, but you are in the centre of town, so we often sat outside a local, friendly cafe in the glorious sunshine (it was hot, averaging 35+) reading etc. In summary, a great location and a good base for exploring the heel of Italy. Highly recommended.

Very sweet home Lecce

Lecce is charming and Giovanni’s place is perfect for spending some relaxing time visiting the city. The apartment is in a real neighborhood but a short walk out the door takes you to all the sites and many restaurants and cafes (and shopping!). Giovanni is a great host and goes out of his way to be helpful and offer good advice on where to eat etc. I really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend this apartment with the tiny proviso that the staircase to the lovely bedroom is not for everyone.

Perfecte uitvalsbasis

Amazing Location in Lecce!

We spent a wonderful 5 nites in this apartment in Lecce at the end of september. The city is beautiful and the location of the apartment was amazing. The street it is on is so beautiful and quiet. We were able to walk everywhere easily. I was a bit worried about the parking but it turned out to be very easy and inexpensive. We could actually drive to the apartment to drop off and pick up our luggage so long as it was within the allowed hours. The apartment is large and comfortable. It is well furnished and the bed and linen were very good. Giovanni was an amazing host and was very easy to communicate with and very prompt. He gave us lots of advice on beaches, restaurants, parking, grocery shops etc... Thank ou so much Giovanni for an incaredible stay in Lecce!

Lovely period house in the beautiful historic city of Lecce.

My husband and I spent 10 days in Giovanni's house which was a great base for exploring lovely Puglia. We drove out to beachs on both east and west coasts each day, based on Giovanni's daily weather and wind forecasts which were really helpful. Each night we wandered around Lecce just marvelling at it's amazing acitecture and beauty. We ate and drank out every night overwhelmed at the amount of superb bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend having a car to get around the area, easy parking costing 2€ a day in Lecce. A great holiday, we will definitely go back again. Thanks Giovanni.x

A very nice flat, good situated in Centro historico i Lecce. Giovanni was a very good host.

Giovanni was a very nice person and good at recommending restaurants all over Southern Puglia. The flat clean and well equipped, Good situated but you need a car to get around and to shop for food. Sorry about the football matches between Sweden and Italy. Retired swedish couple.

Sopra tutto !

Stayed in Giovanni,s apartment for a week in may 2017. Giovanni was the most helpful owner out of all our stays in Italy.Apartment was a 10 minute walk walk to centre of Old Town, but be warned, have a street map and the full apartment address with you as its very easy to get lost.Best thing is to find way to Porto Napoli as most italians will be able to direct you there, and its a couple of minutes from apartment. Another tip is when Giovanni tells you about the tv,s,Heating, window operations,Hot water etc write it all down as its easy to forget. Lecce is beautiful and a joy to just amble round the labrynth of streets, find a nice cafe/bar,sit outside and watch the world go by. We ventured to Gallipoli and Otranto and enjoyed the Beaches and old towns( also the rickety old trains to get you there ! Apartment was fine although the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge if you wanted to go in the night! All in all Lecce is a must see town Very Quaint ,clean but with a vibrant nightlife not just for youngsters but also OAP,,slike us!

A very goog flat

Giovanni's flat is very well situed house at Lecce. In the old center and in a quiet street. And no far from the ringroads. So it's very easy to leave the town and to go to the coast and the beach. There isn't parking in front of the flat, but there is a big parking at 5 minutes by walking. And you will pay 15 euros for a week. The flat is very nice and well-equipped. Have a good stay Pierrick

Perfect property for enjoying the historic centre of Lecce

This is a great flat to stay in. It is located inside the old city with its must see churches, beautiful architecture and Roman ruins. The flat is situated in the more residential side rather than the touristy bit of Lecce. It gives you a real feel for the town and its people. Geovanni cannot be a more gracious and helpful host and speaks good English. He suggests some great restaurants and bars and helps you to enjoy your stay. There are local shops to get the basics and great restaurants and bars five minutes from the flat. The flat itself is very clean, well laid out and maintained, with a comfortable open plan bedroom above the sitting room area or if you prefer there are fold out beds in the basement. There are two dining areas as well as a little breakfast table and a step in shower, bathroom with bidet. It has loads of room to move around in. If you want to make your own meals, it has a cooker and fridge and plenty of cutlery and dishes. There are TVs in the bedroom, sitting room and basement areas. The neighbours seem very friendly and if you like cats, there are some local characters wandering around that love the occasional treat and provide entertainment. It is also a very safe area. In fact Lecce overall is very friendly. You could almost eat off the pavement it is so clean. The fantastic local wine and olive oil and amazing portions of food in the restaurants, reasonably priced, will tempt you to come back for more. I have to thank the brothers who own my local restaurant in Fulham, Pizzica, and come from Lecce for their recommendation to visit this "Florence of the South". Otherwise I would never have found this hidden gem. With beaches 20 minutes away what more could you ask for. Highly recommended.

The Key to Enjoying Lecce

We rented Sweet Home Lecce for a week in April of 2016 and spent time exploring Lecce and the surrounding country side. The apartment is well situated for both, being on the edge of the old town with reasonably priced parking near-by. We walked everywhere easily from the apartment. It is very comfortable for Anne and I and would also suit a family. Giovanni is a very generous and knowledgeable host He picked us up at the train station, helped with a rental car and offered good advice on shopping, bars, restaurants and sites to visit in Lecce and in the surrounding region. Thanks again for the extra effort Giovanni!

Best location ever!

Giovanni's apartment on the sweetest little street in old Lecce was amazing. It was very, very large so we could spread out and relax after spending 10 days in small hotel rooms. We walked only minutes for Cappuccino, great shopping, and fabulous restaurants and wine bars. And Giovanni had a wealth of information to give us upon arrival. We rented a car so we could visit the many wonderful small towns of Puglia but were always happy to come back to our base "home" to regroup and start again the next day.

An elegant restful haven

What a wonderful beautiful space! Giovanni is a warm an generous host, and the apartment is situated beautifully on the edge of the old town. We walked everywhere and were not disappointed by Giovanni's many restaurant recommendations! The apartment is very comfortable, and completely equipped, and the groined vaulted ceiling is a thing to behold. We will no doubt return! Mille gracie Giovanni!

A great apartment in a fantastic city

We used this apartment for a 2 week stay. This is a great property if you want to visit the beautiful city of Lecce. Everything was as described and the owner Giovanni couldn't have done more to welcome us, including a short walk around the city. The location is great and most of the major sights are within a 10 min walk, so if your thinking of visiting Lecce (and you should) then this property is ideal

Great value in the heart of the old town.

A very nice apartment near the heart of Lecce. We loved our stay in this very accommodating apartment. Our host, Giovanni met us at the train station, drove us to the apartment and gave us a full orientation to his property. Furnishings were good, with plenty of space for the three of us. The apartment was clean and well maintained. There were even english language movies available in the downstairs area. Furnishings were overall basic, but more than adequate. Giovanni had to come back the first morning to adjust the heating system, which then worked well for us, providing good heat in the chilly winter week we were in Lecce. The location was the best feature, being very near the center of the old town. Giovanni not only recommended good restaurants, but more importantly where to park our rental car overnight. Overall, an excellent value for the money. We would recommend this listing and would certainly stay here again.
