The house of the Red Lion is 1 km from the town of Sant'Apollinare Chieti (1000 inhabitants).
Here are all the essential shops.
The house can be reached along the provincial road to Lanciano and the last 300 m of gravel road.
The house, the pool and the appurtenances, are for the exclusive use of those who are guests at that time; surrounded by vineyards it is situated in a dominant position on a hill, 1. 5 hectares of vineyard attached to the house and owned, ensure the necessary privacy.
Even if the rustic and the surrounding houses may seem far from each other, the layout means that those who live in the house at that time, can find the place cozy and peaceful.
Only one thing I remember to my potential customers, mine is a real country house, a rustic, with the limits, intended as peculiarities but also the advantages offered by these structures.
The pool is 7 meters long and 3 meters wide and the depth varies from a maximum of 130 cm to a minimum of 40 cm.
In the bathroom type towels are provided (one large and one small for each guest present), there are no bathrobes and hair dryers because they are considered strictly personal accessories.
At 4.5 km there is San Vito marina and above San Vito village (capital), most equipped places.
At 10 km and equidistant there are the towns of Ortona at sea and Lanciano.

Great place to stay

Great holiday

Amazing quite and positive rustic place.

It was so quite and relaxing vacation we had, and the owner was extremly helpfull and serviceminded. We hope to be able to visit it again in 2026😀 Lovely pool and the view was amazing. And on top of that, a house with historical background. Owners wine tasted very good 👍 history

Nice stay at a very nice house!

We stayed here for quite some weeks and really enjoyed the house and especially the views were stunning to see! The host Giovanni was very friendly and helped us with everything. He is learning the english language and we learnt some Italian from him. Thank you very much and we’ll keep in touch!

Spacious Villa in a perfect location

The Villa is in a perfect location on a vinyard with commanding views across the valley. It is tranquil and secluded, there are some local amenities close by and it is a short drive to San Vito Chietino where there is a good beach and more restaurants etc. Giovanni, the owner is very helpful and attentive, without being intrusive. I would highly recoomend for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful getaway - most beautiful view!

Spent 6 wonderful and relaxing days in Giovannis house in the hills, where we enjoyed the pool, the beach, the food and the scenic views. Perfect location for our little family (2 kids: 4 & 7 years old). Giovanni was a great host and made sure to make us feel welcome and at home right away! I hope we can come back another time and give my warmest recommendations.

Magical

Giovanni's father's home is situated on a hill overlooking miles of vineyards. Sitting at the large round tiled table under a canopy gazing at the landscape with your breakfast, wine, whatever, is positively idyllic. Despite being only 15 minutes from the Adriatic and the many seaside restaurants, and a short drive to welcoming hill towns and vineyards, all you hear are birds and the distant hum of tractors and cars. The core of the house is very old, but the kitchen has modern appliances and is well equipped. The living/dining room is large and comfortable (and, besides, you want to spend all your time outside). The staircase to the bedrooms is a small spiral. The two bedrooms are large, nicely furnished with large, screened windows with expansive views. The pool and outdoor equipment are perfect . Giovanni could not be a better host. We strongly recommend this property.

The pictures, description and reviews don’t do it full justice. The house is full of clever well thought out details. It’s lovely, with a sun trap outdoor eating area and pool, a jacuzzi, plus it’s only a 15 minute walk into the town.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich ein Traum! Umgeben von Weinbergen, absolute Ruhe und Privatsphäre sind garantiert. Das Haus hat 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder, einen Wohnraum und eine Küche mit allen notwendigen Utensilien. Giovanni ist so ein toller Gastgeber: Ab der Buchung bis zur Verabschiedung haben wir uns bestens aufgehoben und umsorgt gefühlt. Er spricht tolles Englisch, die Kommunikation war daher gar kein Problem. Bei Giovanni zu bleiben ist absolut empfehlenswert, auch die Gespräche mit ihm haben wir sehr genossen. Das nächste Städtchen ist fußläufig erreichbar (ca. 20 Minuten), hat eine kleine Bar (Cafe, Cornetto, Snacks, Aperitiv) und einen kleinen Laden (Brot, Pasta, Gemüse, etc.). Für einen größeren Supermarkt, mehrere Lokale oder den Strand braucht man ein Auto (alles ca. 10-15 Minuten). Wir waren aber oft einfach im Haus und haben das Leben in der Ruhe genossen. Danke Giovanni, wir sind glücklich und zufrieden!

Ein kleines Juwel mitten in den Weinbergen

Wir haben uns im Casa di Leone Rosso sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, liegt super ruhig und ist außerordentlich gut gepflegt. Der Hausherr Giovanni ist ein äußerst hilfsbereiter und liebenswürdiger Gastgeber. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Erholsame Alleinlage

Der Aufenthalt im Casa del Leone Rosso war sehr schön. Das Haus befindet sich in Alleinlage umgeben von Weinbergen. Giovanni war ein freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns mit eigenem Wein und Olivenöl die Ankunft versüßt hat. Auch sonst hat es an nichts gefehlt. Täglich wurde der Pool und der Garten durch den Gastgeber gepflegt. Das Haus ist liebevoll gestaltet. Zu beachten ist, dass es sich um ein Landhaus handelt, sodass mit Moskitos, Ameisen etc. zu rechnen ist. Von uns volle 5 Sterne und wir werden dir Unterkunft sicher wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für alles.

Entspannter Urlaub in traumhafter Lage

Das Haus von Giovanni ist zwar schon älter, aber es ist mit viel Liebe restauriert. In der Küche ist ein Induktionsherd, Kaffeemaschine , Grundausstattung an Gewürzen. In den zwei Schlafräumen im ersten Stock ist eine Klimaanlage. Die Wendeltreppe zum 1. Stock ist allerdings für Behinderte nicht geeignet. Der Garten mit Pool und Terrasse ist ein Traum mit einer herrlichen Aussicht auf die umliegenden Weinberge. Man genießt absolute Privatsphäre, ein Auto ist aber nötig aufgrund der Alleinlage. Giovanni ist ein sehr,sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung gab es auch noch zwei Flaschen Wein. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Soggiorno con piscina in mezzo ai vigneti con vista meravigliosa

Casa molto ben ristrutturata, posizione tranquillissima con una bellissima visuale sulla valle. Cenare su quel tavolo con vista sul tramonto, esperienza davvero unica. Piscina perfetta per rinfrescarsi e per godersi il panorama. Per chi come noi gradisce un po’ di jogging al mattino, anello ideale in mezzo ai vigneti senza vedere un’auto. Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns gut erholt. Das gut ausgestattete und saubere Ferienhaus liegt sehr ruhig außerhalb mitten in den Weinbergen und Olivenhainen. Alles wird vom sehr netten Inhaber Giovanni in Schuss gehalten und wir konnten seinen Wein und Olivenöl genießen. Der Pool ist toll und die Aussicht phänomenal. Zum Meer und den Stränden sind es nur wenige Kilometer und in der näheren Umgebung gibt es gute Restaurants.

Abruzzen Tip

Wir können das Objekt nur empfehlen, wer es ruhig und abseits vom täglichen Trubel sucht, der ist hier richtig. Umgeben von Weinbergen und Oliven kann man sich erholen. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und der Vermieter ist stets erreichbar, wenn man Fragen hat.

Schönes Häuschen in den Weinbergen

Tolles Haus in schöner ruhiger Umgebung. Ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten am Meer und in den Bergen. Giovanni war immer hilfreich zur Stelle und konnte gute Tips geben. Der Garten und Pool sind gepflegt und komplett umzäunt so dass auch unser Hund seinen Spaß hatte.

Herrliches, ruhiges Haus

Wer es ruhig und weg vom Trubel mag ist hier richtig. Wunderschönes, gepflegtes Haus und Garten mit Blick in die Weinberge und die Abruzzen. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und Giovanni ist sofort zur Stelle wenn etwas fehlt oder es ein Problem gibt. Der Pool macht es perfekt, auch mit Kindern. Im kleinen Nachbardorf gibt es eine gute Osteria. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da und kommen gerne wieder - es gibt noch viel zu entdecken in den Abruzzen…

splendida casa rurale circondata dai vigneti

Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima vacanza nella dimora di Giovanni che ci accolto con gentilezza ed è sempre stato disponibile a qualsiasi necessità. La casa è circondata dai vigneti e perfetta per Chi desidera una location isolata e tranquilla. L'interno è curato e confortevole ( la compagnia di qualche insetto che di tanto in tanto si intrufola all'interno fa parte della ruralità) ma sicuramente il punto di forza è la parte esterna e in particolare la piscina Dov'è la nostra bimba di 4 anni ha sguazzato per tutto il tempo. Peccato per i due ristoranti vicini all'alloggio che abbiamo sempre trovato chiuso.

Bellissima vacanza!

Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti da questa vacanza: la casa, molto particolare e molto curata nei dettagli, è inserita in un contesto naturale molto rilassante, in collina ma a due passi dal mare e con la Majella a pochi chilometri. Colazione, pranzo e cena con vista sulla vallata sono veramente rigeneranti. Il proprietario è molto gentile, amichevole e sempre disponibile. La piscina privata con idromassaggio è la ciliegina sulla torta!!! Consigliamo vivamente di provare!!!

Zauber der Weinberge

Die Lage ist traumhaft,das Haus mit schönem Pool lässt keine Wünsche offen.Das Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt so konnte auch unsere Hündin frei herum laufen. Der Vermieter ist sehr fürsorglich u herzlich. Hier gibt es Erholung pur,der Weg zur Adria ist mit dem Auto schnell bewältigt . Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Auch im September Mückenspray nicht vergessen!
