This is a cute home, and while on the water, it is not close to the beach. The home is also in need of some love/updates. We had access to beach chairs and towels as well as the beautiful pool on the property, however the heater does not work, so the ‘main attraction’ was not usable. We had a wonderful week together as friends but we’re just disappointed with the accommodations.

The pool heater has since been repaired. The issue was disclosed immediately upon detection, the day before the guests arrived (The water heater is turn on one day in advance). To address the inconvenience, the pool heater fee was immediately refunded upon check-in.
We had a wonderful stay at this place. The location is excellent, especially for anyone who enjoys fishing or golfing. One of the highlights of the trip was being able to fish right from the backyard, which was both relaxing and a lot of fun. I spent quite a bit of time there and truly enjoyed the experience.
You walk through the front door and there it is. The real deal is that view. The cherry on top is the pool. Very clean. Lots of items for your use. Property seems well-loved. Quiet. Relaxing. We would love to come back again and again. Thank you for wonderful family memories.
This was a very nice home and the perfect location on the Terra Ceia Bay. Communication with the owner was seamless. The kitchen came well stocked with everything you could need for a stay. The pool was beautiful and the westerly exposure made for great sunsets. There was a kayak to use and even a few fishing poles. I would recommend this location with no reservation and look forward to a possible future stay.
House was very dated but in a great location the pool is nice but the “spa” is only about 5 degrees warmer than the pool and there is no lights in it at night.

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and had a chance to relax by the pool.
We appreciate your comments regarding the home. We take pride in its "Old Florida" charm and vintage character, as shown in our photos, though we understand that this classic style is a matter of personal preference.
Regarding the spa: to help future guests plan accordingly, we have updated our listing to clarify that the property features a spa connected to the pool rather than a traditional hot tub, with temperatures designed to reach up to 90°F. Our maintenance person, Adriaan, responded promptly to your text about the spa temperature, inspected the unit during your stay, and resolved a pump issue that was affecting the efficiency of the heater. We have also notified our pool service company to repair the lighting to ensure the area is bright and functional for evening dips.
The house has everything you need! It is vintage and really quaint! The pool/spa (not a hot tub) was to be only issue we had; it was not warm and we couldn’t use it the first day and a half. Adrian was great and came back until the pool’s heating system was fixed. I’d definitely return to this VRBO! Super comfortable beds, too!!

Communication with host was easy, home very clean but very dated. Would have been even better if the hot tub worked, but the pool and view was lovely.
Upon arrival house was at 83 degrees took 12 hours to cool downPool - Water heater was broken, Jacuzzi jets didn't work or the pool lights and the water was very cold. The host issued a 70 credit for this before we even arrived. So, they knew about the problem but told us the day of arrival and didn't have it fixed.Kitchen - Infested with ants. They attacked all the kids snacks and cereals. All went into garbage. Extremely outdatedMaster - Ceiling fan was broke; the beds were super soft. meaning you woke up with an aching back. The entire house needs a deep clean. However, the sunsets where gorgeous but this property isn't worth 650 a night in the off season. We booked it based on other reviews for my wife's 45 birthday. You can do better looking elsewhere at 650 a night.

We were not aware that you were charged $650 per night through another booking platform, and we are sorry to hear that. Our nightly rate through VRBO is $340.
The area experienced significant storms just prior to your stay, which resulted in increased indoor ant activity throughout the region. Upon being notified, we promptly addressed the issue. We also maintain regular pest control service and take great pride in keeping the home clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, ant infestations can occur after severe storms in this part of Florida.
Additionally, the pool heater was temporarily inoperable due to the severe weather conditions. We thank you for your feedback; the fan in the main bedroom has since been replaced.
Our family had the best time. House was clean, roomy, the views of the water was amazing. The pool was awesome. Caught a lot of fish. Everyone was happy the whole time. We will definitely be going back. Host was so very nice and gave good tips on the fishing.
Beautiful View of the Bay, didn’t like the check in process had to meet someone at the house to give us the key and he walked around inside the house with us. Only 1 TV in the house and it didn’t work, but we didn’t text the owner, we were fine without. We enjoyed the pool!

There is one TV in the living room and it works fine.
3 adults spent 3 nights the end of June, was extremely lucky to have 3 gorgeous sunsets, and actually one really good thunderstorm. View is excellent. Very quiet area, easy to get too, house had everything we needed, beds were comfortable. I would stay again, and would recommend.
