About this property

Beautiful Beach Condo on Ocean Isle, ~NC~

A fabulous destination, Ocean Isle Beach, boasts wide sandy beaches, and lots of recreational activities for all. It is a perfect place to enjoy a week at the beach or a quick get-a-way. Our condo is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that is fully equipped to provide a great vacation experience. It is located in the Starboard By The Sea complex, sits on the sound / marsh side of the island and offers fantastic views of sunsets. Enjoy sitting on our covered deck, with your favorite beverage, and watch the sun set!

There are a total of 6 beds and the condo will sleep 8 people. We have a queen and double bed in each of the larger bedrooms plus 2 twin beds in the smaller bedroom. New mattresses were added in April 2016 and 2017. We do not provide linen and towel service.
If needed, contact owner who will provide names of local people who will provide these items. There is a fully equipped kitchen, central air, washer / dryer, flat screen HDTV, and Wi-Fi.. There is a wall mounted TV in the master and second bedroom. Beach chairs, rafts and fishing equipment are provided for guests (located in our storage room). Covered ground level parking with space for 2-3 cars is found under our condo. The beach, with private access, is a short 3 minute walk away. There are 3 tennis courts throughout the complex and one of the courts faces our condo. The complex has 3 Swimming pools (with 1 of the swimming pools located on the beach). The swimming pool at the beach has a deck area, with rocking chairs, that overlooks the ocean.

We completely remolded our kitchen and both bathrooms in December 2012. We have brand new appliances and state of the art fixtures in the kitchen. The master bath has a shower stall, while the hall bath has a standard tub / shower unit.

Ocean Isle is located between Myrtle Beach, SC and historic Wilmington, NC ( a 30-35 minute drive either way). Southport, NC, with its quaint shops is located 35 minutes away. There are over 20 great golf courses within a 20 minute drive and Calabash, the seafood capital of the south, is located 20 minutes away. In addition, there are several great restaurants (Ocean Isle Fish Co, Sharky's, Pelican's Perch The Isles) on the island. Over the bridge you will find Sugar Shack (great Jamaican food) and Maria's ( Italian Food). Take a short 10-15 ride to Shallotte Point to visit the Inlet Bar and Grill (this place offers views of Ocean Isle, Holden Beach, the Intercoastal Waterway, Shallotte River and the Atlantic Ocean!). Ice cream shops, and stores are located on the Island. Also, there is a miniature golf course, plus a fishing pier for your enjoyment. Across the bridge you will find several shops, 2 large supermarkets, fresh seafood, and a motor cart track. Nearby Shallotte has several supermarkets, 2 'big box' stores, restaurants, and shops.

Great View and Nice Accommodations

We enjoyed our stay at this charming condo. It has been updated nicely and is cozy but not cramped. We really enjoyed the marsh view and short walk to the beach. I’d say the only drawback was bringing our own sheets and towels, but honestly for the price this was worth the minor inconvenience. We would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at many of the Starboard Condos over the past 30 years and this is probalby one of the nicest ones I have stayed in. This is now our favorite unit to stay in when visiting the OIB area.

We had a great week in this condo! What you see is what you get and then some! The kitchen is well equiped! My favorite... the view at sunset! The place was clean! The own er is really nice and go's out of his way to make sure every thing is great for your stay! It was are second Time at starboard but by far better then the last one!

Great Condo for Quick Trip to the Beach Or Longer :)

I traveled with my family of four to stay over a long weekend and really enjoyed all that the condo / facilities had to offer. It was a little tricky finding the condo's beach access and ocean front pool, but the map provided by the owner was very helpful. The benefits of having that pool right there as you come off the beach was fantastic. The condo owner was extremely attentive and even called on Saturday morning to check in, make sure we had everything we needed, and ask if we had any questions. The condo itself was really clean, comfortable layout and the view of sunset was top notch. We can't wait to go back!

Quaint and cozy getaway

Where do I start? This place was a wonderful little getaway with the most perfect atmosphere. Everything that was needed was right at our fingertips from, kitchen bowls, utensils, cookware, etc (that’s just to mention the kitchen) My mom and I enjoyed our morning coffee in the rocking chairs looking out at the beautiful inlet. Then in the evenings we got to see some of the most amazing sunsets our eyes had ever seen. If you have stress in your life, you need to come stay here!

Clean, comfortable and oh so peaceful!

This is the second time I have stayed at this condo. Wish I could live there! Amazing location and so well taken care of. Denise, the housekeeper, does a wonderful job making sure the place is sparkling for you when you arrive. The beds are really comfortable and the condo is furnished with everything you could need. I love that the owners let you use the beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, etc that are kept in the storage unit. Quick walk to the beach each day with the cart they have made our vacation easy & relaxing. You can't help but relax in Ocean Isle and coming home to this beautifully decorated, clean, spacious condo makes each day enjoyable. Thank you to Dennis, one of the owners, who made the rental process super easy and provided so much great information in the packet we received.

Wonderful!

We absolutely loved this condo. Our favorite part was hanging out on the porch that overlooks the sound…we just loved watching all the wildlife who visited. The condo was super clean and well stocked. The walk to the beach was easy as well.

Great time with family and friends - A girl getaway!!

We had a hiccup at the beginning of our trip - BUT our host responded quickly and all was resolved. Loved the location and the layout of the condo. Beautiful weather and lots of laughs. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely return to this condo!!

The condo is owned by four couples from the Charlotte, NC area. We have enjoyed the condo as well as Ocean Isle over the past 30 years. We vacation here every year. Our children have grown up visiting Ocean Isle and it's a perfect place to vacation

Why they chose this property

Ocean Isle is the ideal family beach. Limited population and low crowds during the summer create the appearance of a private place. Myrtle Beach is close if we want a change of pace. There a number of great golf courses and quality restaurants located nearby. Ocean Isle presents a slower and calmer alternative to everyday living!
