Did you know our area is one of Florida’s best spots for finding fossilized shark teeth? The Gulf currents regularly wash them ashore — making beach walks even more exciting!
Best Beaches for Shark Teeth:
Blind Pass Beach – One of the top local spots for shark tooth hunting, especially after storms or at low tide.
Englewood Beach – A popular and easy-access beach where guests often find teeth along the waterline.
Stump Pass Beach State Park – A quieter, natural setting that’s great for shelling and shark tooth discoveries.
🔎 Tips for Finding Them
Look along the tide line where shells collect.
Search in darker shell beds — shark teeth are usually black or dark gray.
Go early in the morning or after a storm for the best finds.
Bring a small sifter or scoop for extra success!
It’s a simple, free activity that both kids and adults love — and makes for a unique Florida souvenir to take home. 🚗 Worth the Drive: Day Trips & Nearby Cities

We had a wonderful time staying at this Vrbo property. The condo is decorated very nicely. The couch and bed are comfortable. There are two large screen TVs. We like the Port Charlotte area. There are many great restaurants. The pool is large and clean. We have no downside comments because everything was was so nice.

The amenities were nice and the place well stocked. Everything and more you'd expect in a bathroom, great books and games as pictured in the listing, all cleaning supplies provided, and some great bonus things in the balcony 's closet. Having shaded parking was great and being on a beach with a pier and pool were fantastic features. We did drive to two coastal beaches, enjoyed multiple nearby restaurants, and there's plenty shopping nearby. The only things we didn't like were the bed was very firm (which some people might like) and we had to boil water the last three days of our stay due to water main work which was outside of the host's control and they did order a kettle for us.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We're really glad you enjoyed the amenities, the beach access, and all the little extras around the condo—it’s great to hear those details made your stay more comfortable and fun. We also appreciate your feedback about the bed. Since your stay, we’ve added a pillow-top mattress cover to provide a softer, more comfortable sleeping experience for future guests. We’re sorry again for the inconvenience caused by the temporary water main work. While it was unfortunately outside of our control, we’re glad we could at least provide a kettle to help during that time and appreciate your understanding. Thanks again for staying with us—we’d love to host you again in the future!
