YIKES! Didn’t know there were ants! I have a monthly pest service so there shouldn’t be ANY pests. Guests before you didn’t mention any problems with ants. Pest service called and this will be addressed. Thanks for staying!

Thanks for being a great guest Bonnie! The AC can be set to 72 degrees. I have fans in the upstairs rooms to help with those extra hot days and nights. AND since Bonnie stayed (as of August 2018) I had all of the ducting replaced/redesigned and we now have a 'balanced' system with the AC only 1-2 degrees warmer up stairs on those extreme days. The cap of 72 is set because I have had guests turn it lower and freeze up the AC in the past. This will insure that no one inadvertently freezes the system!

UPDATE 12/14/23 THE AC/Furnace was replaced in June 2023 and the installer came back and installed a UV strip to kill any bacteria in the unit and sanitised it. I also had the ducts cleaned and the house treated to remove any smells. We are ready for the next guest, HANDS DOWN! I am so sorry you were unhappy! I left messages for you several times ( at check out and mid-week) to check on how things were going and received no feedback. I have the house 'deep cleaned' twice a year so am VERY SURPRISED that it was not up to your standards! Both sofa's have been replaced in the last year, new furnace & AC and towels as well as sheets and comforters, so we do replace things regularly (all pictures downstairs were replaced this year as well). I have NEVER received a complaint about the matresses, so I will check that out myself in the next few weeks. The AC can be dropped to 72 degrees which is always adequate. The mold buildup would be due to the moisture caused by the excessive cold in the house (again, I will check on this personally). Based on the weather during the week, I would have expected you to run the heater, so not sure why the AC would have been a problem. Again, I will look into the issue you stated with the musty smell. I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay to the fullest. I really wish you would have returned my inquiries so I could have had the AC company address the smell.
