Host canceled the day before travel due to plumbing. I get it, things happen, but I had booked many months in advance and there was near nothing left for a group of 6 the night before travel. We ended up grossly overpaying for the only hotel downtown with 3 rooms available. Host only offered an alternative apartment on Elephantine Island, which we distinctly avoided as it's only accessible by boat and we wanted to walk the market downtown, which is why we chose that location. Nearly ruined our vacation. Spent 4x as much on the only hotel that could accommodate 6 of us, last minute.
