Amazing property. The porches were the highlight of our trip. My 3 yr old made use of each floor and each porch quickly making her self at home. My husband made use of each fireplace and firepit. My personal favorite was the cozy fireplace on the back porch and the hot tub on the porch below it. The couch in the living room was so cozy, my daughter only wanted to sleep there instead of any of the 5 beautiful bedrooms. We have stayed in many cabins over the years and this one takes the cake. Only complaint is the hair conditioner provided but that’s my fault for not bringing my own. 4 wheel drive is a must and the road in is only big enough for 1 vehicle but easily doable if you and other driver have common courtesy. Such a great stay, we were sad to leave.I can go on and on about how great this place is, but I’ll end it by saying this: Our stay was absolutely amazing!
Very quiet cabin tucked away in trees with lovely view of the river. We enjoyed that there were lots of decks with plenty of different sitting areas. There are two outside fire pits. One closer to the house and one by the river. The river was big enough to wade around and splash in. Looks like you can do some trout fishing too. (We saw someone in the cabin across from us fly fishing) The hot tub was clean and felt newer with nice deep seating. It has a large dinning area on the top porch which we loved eating breakfast and dinner at with pretty hanging lights. It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes away from McCaysville, 30 minutes from horseback riding (Appalachian trail rides) and 30 minutes from ziplinning and whitewater rafting. We ended up only having 4 of us, but there were supppsed to be 8 and it would of accommodated all 8 no problem. The only drawback was that the kitchen was small. Really only one at a time could be in the kitchen. It’s at the end of a road, so really you could only see one other cabin next to us and no one was there. The only sounds we could hear was the rush of the river, the crackling of the fire and children playing and laughing across the creek. We hope to come back again, especially in the fall! The leaves will be gorgeous.
My group of 8 completely loved our stay at this cabin. It was so cozy, with multiple fireplaces and comfy seating. The best part about this place though is the exterior. Sitting on the upper deck next to the fire felt like you were among the trees in the canopy! And going down to the creek to sit and make smores was a dream. Outside of the home being excellent, John, the host, was wonderful. He was responsive and proactive and made sure that all of our questions were answered and the right information was provided. I would recommend this place to everybody. Really such a gem!
