Beautiful place, not hard to find, amazing stay with the family. Great host with communication and quick response. Would definitely recommend to stay here. Not too far downtown and plenty of things to do in the area.
Here’s a shorter 5-star version:--- Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway! Our family had an amazing Thanksgiving stay in this cozy cabin. The views were stunning, the cabin was spotless, and it had everything we needed to cook, relax, and enjoy quality time together. Peaceful, comfortable, and beautifully located — we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday stay. The game room was amazing. Highly recommend!
The cabin was cozy and just what we needed for our Fall weekend stay. Matt was great about communication and answered questions quickly. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m thrilled to hear that you found Little Bear Lair cozy and perfect for your fall weekend getaway. It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your family, and I’m glad the cabin had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable. Your recommendation means a lot to me, and we love to see the pictures from your getaway! We hope to welcome you back in the future!
Little Bear Lair was a great place for our weekend in the mountains! It was clean and very spacious. The deck overlooking the mountains was a nice place to relax. Matt was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
I stayed here with my family (8 Adults). We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was well taken care of and very clean. The outside seating area is beautiful. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck. Our beds were comfortable and we never ran out of hot water for showers. We had a nice fire down by the creek(its a little steep walking back up to the house). The hot tub felt great after a long day of hiking. The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. I definitely recommend this cabin.
Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The attention to detail truly sets it apart — everything from the cozy décor to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen made it feel like a home away from home. The accommodations were top-notch: clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Every little touch showed how much care goes into making guests feel welcome. The location couldn’t have been better — tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private, yet close to all the local attractions, trails, and shops. Whether we were relaxing on the porch, enjoying the views, or exploring nearby spots, everything about this stay was perfection. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable retreat!

We take great pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable space for our guests, and it’s wonderful to hear that all we put into the cabin made it feel like a home away from home!
I’m thrilled that you enjoyed relaxing on the porch, exploring the nearby attractions, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. You're spot on to why we also love this location! Your recommendation means the world to us, and we would be absolutely delighted to host you again whenever you’re ready for another relaxing retreat.
Thank you for choosing Little Bear Lair, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
This house is a wonderful mountain cabin. It had a wonderful porch for late night stargazing and conversations. The game room kept my 9-year-old entertained. When he wasn't in there, we spent time exploring hidden rope swings, the creek, and the flat field in the back. The home was clean, the internet was fast, it was perfect for the seven people who were up there. The house is about 20 minutes from Blue Ridge, which gave it a secluded feeling without being too far away from activities. The hot tub was clean and a great way to spend the evening. My two dogs came with us and there were some nice treats and supplies left for them. Matt was great with communication. We absolutely loved staying at Little Bear Lair!

Thank you so much for your fantastic review, Krista! We're so happy you enjoyed your stay at Little Bear Lair in Blue Ridge!
Highly recommend! The cabin and property are perfect for a family (or couples) get away. Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, even with necessity spices and condiments for sandwiches in the fridge. The property is perfect for play whether playing in the game room, frisbee on the massive lawn, playing in the creek or good walks with your fur babies. There’s a picnic table, fire pit and hot tub and plenty of board games. Location is close (10 minutes) to McCaysville and only another 10 to Blue Ridge, perfect for options. Our family enjoyed shopping and dining in both towns, river rafting on the Ocoee, sports clay shooting, BR Railway, fishing, waterfalls, and just R&R at the cabin. We were a party of 9; 5 adults, 2 children (6 & 9), and 2 fur babies (which were crated while we were out and about). Did I mention there’s toys and necessities for them as well? Best cabin, property and host we’ve had in the 30 years we’ve vacationed in the area. Five stars!

Why they chose this property
We love Blue Ridge and it's proximity to so many outdoor activities throughout any season. It's a great quiet escape, can swim in the lake, go on a fun mountain hike, or river raft, all in the same day!
What makes this property unique
Large 2 acre property with mountain views and a creek on property, a very hard mix to find! With the large field, it's so peaceful and serene. We love waking up and often finding deer grazing the property.
