I stayed here with my family (8 Adults). We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was well taken care of and very clean. The outside seating area is beautiful. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck. Our beds were comfortable and we never ran out of hot water for showers. We had a nice fire down by the creek(its a little steep walking back up to the house). The hot tub felt great after a long day of hiking. The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. I definitely recommend this cabin.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The attention to detail truly sets it apart — everything from the cozy décor to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen made it feel like a home away from home. The accommodations were top-notch: clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Every little touch showed how much care goes into making guests feel welcome. The location couldn’t have been better — tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private, yet close to all the local attractions, trails, and shops. Whether we were relaxing on the porch, enjoying the views, or exploring nearby spots, everything about this stay was perfection. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable retreat!

This house is a wonderful mountain cabin. It had a wonderful porch for late night stargazing and conversations. The game room kept my 9-year-old entertained. When he wasn't in there, we spent time exploring hidden rope swings, the creek, and the flat field in the back. The home was clean, the internet was fast, it was perfect for the seven people who were up there. The house is about 20 minutes from Blue Ridge, which gave it a secluded feeling without being too far away from activities. The hot tub was clean and a great way to spend the evening. My two dogs came with us and there were some nice treats and supplies left for them. Matt was great with communication. We absolutely loved staying at Little Bear Lair!

Little Bear Lair - A Must!

Highly recommend! The cabin and property are perfect for a family (or couples) get away. Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, even with necessity spices and condiments for sandwiches in the fridge. The property is perfect for play whether playing in the game room, frisbee on the massive lawn, playing in the creek or good walks with your fur babies. There’s a picnic table, fire pit and hot tub and plenty of board games. Location is close (10 minutes) to McCaysville and only another 10 to Blue Ridge, perfect for options. Our family enjoyed shopping and dining in both towns, river rafting on the Ocoee, sports clay shooting, BR Railway, fishing, waterfalls, and just R&R at the cabin. We were a party of 9; 5 adults, 2 children (6 & 9), and 2 fur babies (which were crated while we were out and about). Did I mention there’s toys and necessities for them as well? Best cabin, property and host we’ve had in the 30 years we’ve vacationed in the area. Five stars!

Hot Tub was great. Amenities were great. The obky thing I would recommend would be a heater or two on the upper deck. We had a great time!

Why they chose this property

We love Blue Ridge and it's proximity to so many outdoor activities throughout any season. It's a great quiet escape, can swim in the lake, go on a fun mountain hike, or river raft, all in the same day!

What makes this property unique

Large 2 acre property with mountain views and a creek on property, a very hard mix to find! With the large field, it's so peaceful and serene. We love waking up and often finding deer grazing the property.
