About this property
Lakefront Serenity Retreat with WiFi on Pristine Canada Lake
Welcome to Your Soulful Sanctuary on Canada Lake
Please take a moment to read the “Other Details to Note” section at the bottom—it’s got the real talk that helps make your stay extra smooth.
This newly renovated 1-bedroom retreat is perfect for couples or solo travelers craving serenity, inspiration, and a deep exhale. Whether you're journaling by the water, cozying up with a good book, or tuning into the stillness—you’ll feel the sacred quiet that makes this place so special.
**Inside the Cabin:**
* A cozy bedroom with a queen bed
* A pull-out couch in the living room (ideal for one child)
* A dedicated work space with a stunning lake view and high-speed internet—perfect for remote workers or writers in flow
* A full-sized fridge/freezer for all your goodies
* No traditional oven or stove—but...You’ll find a versatile Air Fryer/toaster/oven combo that roasts, bakes, and reheats like a champ (yes, it fits a whole pizza or a chicken!)
* Electric pans & griddle to cover your stovetop needs
* Microwave, hot water kettle, French press, and bean grinder for your coffee rituals
* Outdoor gas grill for lakeside meals
* Hair dryer, fresh linens, and all the thoughtful touches you’d expect in a space curated with care
**Outside the Cabin:**
* A large screened-in porch for lounging, reading, or dreaming under the pines
* 4 kayaks (with paddles and 2 life jackets) for gliding through crystal-clear waters
* A rarely traveled road—ideal for quiet walks and bike rides
* Outdoor fireplace + porch propane fire feature for cozy evenings listening to Loon Songs and the breeze through the trees...
**A Few Things to Note:**
* Max occupancy is 2 adults and 1 child
* No pets allowed (we love them, but this space is set up for humans only)
* The cabin is located in the *town* of Caroga Lake but sits directly on the shore of Canada Lake*—a serene and lesser-known gem
* There's a small lake store a short drive or bike ride away that offers motorized boat rentals so you can explore the connected lakes (Canada, Green, and West Lake). Message us after booking for details and we’ll happily share more info.
This isn’t just a rental—it’s a manifestation of a dream. A place to retreat, reconnect, and let the lake lull your soul into stillness.
Other Nearby Adventures & Experiences
If you feel called to explore beyond the porch and the paddle, this region offers an abundance of nature, art, and local flavor:
Hiking Trails Galore – Just minutes away, discover Nine Corner Lake, a magical swimming spot with no homes on its shores—often yours alone on a quiet weekday afternoon. Another favorite is the hike to the local Fire Tower, where panoramic views will take your breath away (check our gallery for a sneak peek).
Live Arts at Sherman's – Only a 6-minute drive brings you to the Caroga Lake Arts Collective at Sherman’s, a vibrant cultural venue hosting live music, art events, and more all summer and into the fall. Check their latest by searching: Caroga Arts Collective.
Mountain Biking + Golf – Just 3 minutes from the cabin, you'll find access to the Wheeler Bike Trails—great for mountain biking enthusiasts—and Nick Stoner's municipal golf course if a relaxing round is more your style.
Local Dining Gem – Treat yourself to a meal at Nick Stoner’s Seafood and Steak House, one of the area's top dining spots. It's just a few minutes away, and reservations are usually needed—worth planning ahead.
**Other details to Note**
Our cozy cabin was originally built in the 1940s and lovingly renovated from the ground up between 2022–2024. It blends rustic charm with modern comfort—designed to help you unplug, unwind, and reconnect with what matters most.
**Location & Connectivity**
You’re staying in the heart of the *Adirondack Park*, where nature takes the lead and cell service is... let’s just say “shy.” We recommend downloading directions before you arrive. Once here, you can enable *WiFi Calling* for smooth communication within range of the house.
**Quirks & Character**
Every cabin has its personality—ours includes a **very enthusiastic smoke detector** (don’t worry, there are simple tips provided to keep it happy while you cook).
**Neighbors & Boundaries**
On one side of the cabin is a privately owned lakeside motel. The neighbors there are friendly but prefer their lawn stays their own—It’s not an issue for adults, but if you’re bringing a little explorer, just note that free-range kids might need a gentle reminder not to roam. Thank you for respecting their space.
**Swimming & Water Access**
The lakefront in front of the cabin is shallow and sandy—perfect for wading, floating, or launching one of the kayaks. The shoreline itself is not part of our property, so sunbathing or lingering on the banks isn’t permitted. That said, we provide two *water chairs*—ideal for a gentle lake lounge. To enter the water, step down a natural set of rocks forming a "sort-of-stair." We’ll be posting pictures soon, and are happy to DM you more details if you have questions.
**Inviting Friends?**
There’s a simple lakeside motel next door where friends can book a room and join in the lake vibes. It’s rustic, (no tv or wifi) but comfy for a night or two—check the map photo for its location.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Kluska

I began to intentionally manifest a lake house in 2020. Through visioning, journaling and energetically attuning to the reality of living on a lake. It took 6 months. This property came into my life through a friend of a friend. I was able to purchase it with a small personal loan and only $10K. From there all the resources to renovate and make it into the beauty that it has become gracefully flowed into my life.
This cabin was manifested through magical and spiritual intent, renovated with love and is a confirmation (to me) that nothing is impossible. The energy of this place is magical, sacred.
I offer the opportunity to retreat here to share the magic with those who desire to reconnect with the sacred in their lives.

Why they chose this property
What I love about this area is the QUIET. The road is only traveled on by locals at 25mph. The water is generally calm and clear. The air smells like pine and thyme. The sunsets are glorious. There are so many hiking, walking and biking trails near by. A fantastic lake store is only minutes away with a wonderful deli and coffee shop. They offer boat rentals and a freezer stocked with high quality items for the grill.
What makes this property unique
An expansive lake and mountain view from nearly every place within the home.
