Loved the fact that it had a yard for our furry friend. Location is close to the strip, but secluded enough to have privacy. Plenty of parking. Cabin is roomy. Game room, hot tub, and two decks were added bonuses.
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our group. Cody, was very helpful and kind. The cabin is in a great location on a dead end and very close to The Island and Dollywood. I will definitely be staying in this cabin or one owned by Hemlock Hills again.
The whole experience was awesome. From booking to check out was smooth transitioning. The only issue I had was when booking I did not see the what the price would be for bringing a pet so I couldn’t pay it until after I booked the cabin. But other than that the cabin was beautiful and clean and the Host was great!
Cozy cabin close to everything but also secluded enough for lots of privacy. Game room was a lot of fun and all the rooms have King beds which is a plus. Personal request would be to decorate for Christmas by Dec 1. We did enjoy the fall decorations but would have preferred Christmas. House layout is good for everyone to have privacy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cody was fantastic to work with! The cabin was so perfect for our weekend getaway to celebrate our oldest’s 16th birthday! We’re locals and his suggestions are spot on! The basement at the cabin is the perfect hang out spot with plenty of things to do. The outdoor spaces were well kept and the hot tub was the perfect temp! The beds are a bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears- there’s one that’s firm, one that’s medium and one that’s soft- so pick the right one for you! The kitchen was perfectly furnished with the basics and a few extras! Plenty of mixing bowls, pots, pans, cast iron skillet, knives, serving and cooking utensils and even a cheese grater (which I was not expecting and needed, so thanks!). We bought K cups and used the Keurig daily, that came in handy. The only down sides were it was a tad dusty and the bathrooms were all separate from the bedrooms, but nothing that would hinder me from staying again! The location is perfect! You are off the road enough to feel secluded, but only 5 minutes from the Island and the center of PF! So for some good local-ish food- Old Mill (which I would recommend the Pottery House across the street from the Mill- less of a wait and the food is incredible! Leave room for dessert!) Junction 35, Seasons 101 and Coffee & Crumb in downtown Sevierville. In Gatlinburg- Ole Red (fun atmosphere), Crockett’s Breakfast Camp, The Peddler, and Chesapeake’s. You can’t go wrong- so much to do! Have FUN!
Pictures are outdated, wasn’t very clean, many things broken. Wish I spoke up sooner during our trip but was afraid where I would take my family( 8 of us ) and our old sick dog. Location was nice. But many things need fixed or replaced. Pictures were taken and things documented. First time booking a place like this and probably the last. Went by past reviews but there was only a few. Vents need cleaned, bathrooms, tiles need replaced, and more. Wasn’t happy.
Wandering Oak is within city limits of Pigeon Forge, a short 5 minute drive to downtown yet situated in a quiet cut-de-sac with a large grassy yard. Privacy is unmatched with the proximity to downtown!
