Get out of the fog and into the sun. Enjoy the year-round mild climate and central location of San Rafael, with effortless access to San Francisco to the south (thirty minutes across the world famous Golden Gate Bridge), the spectacular wine country of Napa, Sonoma, and Alexander Valleys (forty minutes), and Berkeley (thirty minutes).

Our home is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. 18 steps lead to this attached in-law unit, which features many amenities and unique privacy. Another 12 steps to a semi-private swimming pool, hot tub, and deck, featuring nearly three-hundred-sixty-degree views of the Bay and Mt. Tamalpais.
Our electricity is generated by solar panels and we have a rigorous recycling program. Our full kitchen features coffee-maker, dishwasher, gas over and stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer.
Less than fifty yards away is a hiking trail in a eucalyptus forest, with views of San Francisco in the distance.

Marin County offers beaches, golf, hiking, and biking. (Mountain biking was 'invented' on Mt. Tam.) Local scenery includes breathtaking vistas of Mount Tam, and the ancient redwood forests of Muir Woods, sightseeing in Sausalito and Tiburon, and much more. It features restaurants to fit every budget and culinary taste, as well as, excellent theatre, cinema, and shopping.

San Rafael, home of the 2nd most northern and oldest Catholic mission (founded 1817), also features a civic center designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and a refurbished art deco theater in a revitalized downtown.

Great communication with the owner! The home was beautiful and cozy! I could have lived there, that’s how comfortable it was. Very clean and comfortable beds, Well stocked kitchen also. The place was ideal. It’s a beautiful place and very convenient to get into the city to do sight seeing. We didn’t stay at the property much but we were able to use the hot tub and pool which was great. Highly recommend staying there if you’re looking for a place in the area.

Lovely little apartment with a full well stocked kitchen. Owners left us a bottle of wine. Views from the deck of the surrounding hills were stunning.

Check in very easy as we were given the code prior to our arrival. The dwelling was very well equipped. Plenty of pots,pans and utensils. The hosts were extremely gracious and accommodating.Open space one half a block away and a great way to exercise and take in the views.

This was a very nice place to spend 5 days in San Raphael. It was clean with comfortable furniture and beds. The AC worked well. There’s a fully functional kitchen with all that I needed. The WiFi works perfectly with no issues connecting all of my devices. I would highly recommend this place unless you have issues with stairs that are used entering and leaving.

Beautiful views from this place and only a 30 minute drive from places like muir woods and San Francisco. The hosts are very kind and accommodating when/if needed. The kitchen had a lot of things supplied already like coffee and espresso machine plus more thoughtful touches that made the stay easier. Would definitely continue to stay here for future visits

Lovely, Serene, Restorative Space.

Mark and Judi's lovely space was the perfect place to get some much-needed rest and quiet. The space is very clean and peaceful with breathtaking views - there are magnificent, and leisurely hiking trails a very short walk from the front door. The couch and the bed are both so comfortable! The kitchen has everything anyone could need. There is plenty of privacy and Mark is always available to quickly communicate if needed. Would definitely stay again!

This property was a well-furnished apartment which provided privacy and many of the comforts of home. We found it a wonderful retreat while we visited relatives in the area. Definitely will look to return for future visits.

Our stay in San Rafael was a much needed reprieve. This location is so centrally located to the coast, SF, and all things Bay Area; it may be the permanent go to spot! Check in was a breeze and the owners make your stay safe, secure, and simple. The views out of the space are truly epic. If you’re a fan of the North Bay Area you will not be disappointed. The pool and jacuzzi steps out of the door on the property also add to the amenities and all around get-away feel of this place! Don’t forget about the fully stocked kitchen available for your use within the space as well. Great experience!

Perfect San Fran stay

We were looking for a place out of the city but with east access - and what a perfect choice! Quiet, up in the hills, with gorgeous views and excellent amenities. Easy drive to downtown but also plenty to do just in the area. Mark was a great host and we loved our short stay!

Then unit was stocked with everything you would need, within close driving distance of points of interest, and 3 houses away from a beautiful hiking trail. The hosts were amazing and even helped me plan some activities.
