Waterfront! Idyllic chalet in amenity rich community.

This chalet is located on the waterfront and enjoys wonderful views of the tidal waterway which connects to the bay and ocean. The home has been renovated and tastefully furnished. Wide water views from most rooms, decks, and screened porch. Our outdoor fire pit has an ample supply of cut wood to enjoy a fire in the evening. Located in the amenity rich community of Angola-by-the-Bay, Lewes, it has an Olympic size pool, kiddie pool, clubhouse, playground, 3 crabbing/fishing docks, boat launch (you'll need to get a permit), and walking trails. Bring your bicycle if you care to enjoy riding around the community. It also has a variety of courts: tennis/pickle ball, bocce, volleyball, and basketball. You'll need your own equipment. Nearby is the quaint, historic town of Lewes with tempting restaurants, lovely little shops and a bay frontage beach. Nearby is Rehoboth Beach with its boardwalk, ocean front beach, restaurants and boutiques. There are also public golf courses, mini golf, cozy water/amusement parks, Cape Henlopen State Park, and let's not forget the Tanger outlets with no state tax. You may never want to leave!

Great place close to the water (amazing view!) in a quiet, lovely community. About 20 min from all the nearby beaches. Convenient to grocery stores & any other amenities you might need during a vacation.

The house was everything we could have asked for. It was well appointed and very comfortable. The waterfront setting was idyllic as described for morning coffee on the wraparound deck. The gated community felt very safe and the location provided great access to all area destinations.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful chalet at ABTB. The view of the bay was absolutely wonderful. We truly enjoyed sitting on the deck sipping coffee in the mornings and taking in the stunning sunsets in the evenings. The house was clean, comfortable and what we needed for a relaxing vacation. The hosts are excellent, accommodating and super responsive to questions. I highly recommended this place for anyone looking for a scenic getaway not too far from the beach.

Beautiful bay front property, very clean and cozy. The owners were great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck drinking our morning coffee or just relaxing in the evening. Short distance to beaches ! Highly recommend !

Why they chose this property

We chose Angola-by-the-Bay because it's on Herring Creek, a tidal extension of Rehoboth Bay and has its own marina with access to the ocean, Rehoboth Bay, Indian Bay, and the myriad of other tidal waterways. We enjoy seeing so many people on boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards enjoying the water. Lots of fishing and crabbing opportunities. Not only that, but this gated community has so many additional amenities: big clubhouse, Olympic size pool, kiddie pool, playground, tennis/pickle ball, basketball, volleyball, bocce, softball, and ping pong.

What makes this property unique

The most unique aspect of our chalet is its location on the waterfront. We love the spectacular wide water views from the back yard, wrap around deck, screened porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, loft/master bedroom, and upper deck.
