DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! I am a longstanding customer with VRBO and this is the first negative review I have ever done. There is far more wrong with this basement apartment than I could even begin to write. I can start with serious safety concerns with door locks that are not secure…if there is a lock at all. We rented the basement but found the entire house to be open and the front door having no way to be locked. Further there was a couch cushion shoved in a hole at the head of the bed that i thought was a laundry shoot or easy access to anyone that may be hiding in this huge and very old home. The host later informed me that it was a window and he puts the cushion there to prevent leaks. He boasts of this home being clean but I can assure you it is filthy. There is mold covering the seals of the refrigerator that’s in the bedroom. There were fans running everywhere to prevent the musty odor.
