Our family was in town for my niece's graduation from basic training, and we had a lovely time! This house was a great landing spot, close to the base, and had everything we needed. We were very comfortable!
We were in town for our daughters wedding and had our kids and grandkids with us having a house with 5 bedrooms was awesome. We loved the big back yard as well. The host does a great job of communicating.
We loved the neighborhood too.
Big house with everything we needed for a few days. Very close to Fort Jackson. Plenty of dining and shopping options within 15 minutes. Highly recommend staying here.
I excellent location and accommodations for a large group attending a Gamecock football game. Home was cozy and welcoming. The description of the property was spot on! Excellent communications with the property manager.
I hope we can plan another trip to Columbia SC to rent this property once again!
We had a group of ages from 12-18+ staying and it fit out needs really well. Host was super communicative and helpful. They fixed a problem we had really quickly which was great. Definitely recommend!
We stayed here for Ft Jackson graduation- very easy to get to base and grocery store from this location. The house is clean, good beds and pillows, and AC works great!
Our stay was great except for our arrival first walked in into almost sub zero room temperature otherwise it was great

This home is so lovely. Its very accommodating for a big family/group. This is my place to stay wherever I am in South Carolina.
I highly recommend this home to anyone.
Property no where close to pictures as described on VRBO. Dirty, nasty, holes in walls, furniture in listing not in property, furniture in property stained to the point of not wanting to sit on it, smoke detecter chirping b/c batteries had not been changed. As a result of disgusting nature of property, my family and I had to find other lodging. We refused to stay in this property. VRBO should have some more quality control.
Pros:
Large house with great amount of sleeping arrangements
Quiet neighborhood
Cons:
Super outdated with uncomfortable furniture
Coffee pot was cracked
Bathtubs leaked
Toilets hardly flushed
Stair carpet needs shampood badly
Floors were wiping up black on my rag
One bedroom light wouldn't cut on
This home is huge! We originally had 10 people attending a Ft. Jackson graduation but 4 could not make it last minute. If they had come there is plenty of room, 3 big bedrooms, 2 baths downstairs and 3 big bedrooms and 1 bath upstairs. Good amount of common area. With six adults working on laptops, watching TV, reading, cooking, eating we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. I don't know if we will ever have another Ft. Jackson graduation, but if we did, this is where we would stay!!
Great place to stay if you are visiting a soldier at Fort Jackson. House was very clean and is as described on website. Everyone had plenty of room and there’s plenty of beds and bathrooms. Only downside is the curtains are extremely thin. A street light beams in the master bedroom window at night. The house is outdated and I choose to only use the 2 small burners on the stove to cook. One burner had a knob missing and another burner was so bent the pan wouldn’t sit level and I didn’t want to make it worse. Other than that a great place.

Make Cleaning a Priority
The outside of the home was perfect, however first concern was that the garbage cans were both full to capacity; there was no place to place extra trash that accumulated over the weekend. Cleanliness was substandard; the upstairs bathroom shower curtain was not cleaned and included black mold at the bottom. Microwave in the kitchen was cracked at bottom frame of the door. The iron is cracked to the point of it leaks water, and I have had reports from my family members of bugs in cubbards and in the downstairs bathroom. All of the tubs were dirty; thank God for shower shoes. The reason that we were there - wonderful; the home however a lot to be desired in the cleanliness department. C-
We came to town for an event and found this property to stay at. I was delighted to see that they were a Military family offering up their home along with reading their story. I am part of a Motorcycle Club that supports our Veterans and various other causes. So this was great. We tend to just stay at place to sleep. We don't cook or just hangout. we are on the move a lot. This place was close enough for us to travel the two days in the area. Check Process was easy, communication was timely. The Space was perfect. It has a good sized backyard. If you are looking for a place That's quiet you found it here. The only drawback I would say was the WIFI wasn't that strong. I tried to use my IPAD and the signal for me to stream a show wasn't good. So make sure you download your shows or movies like you would on an flight.

Ft. Jackson House
The house was in a great location and large enough for my 17 family members. Kitchen was worn and toilet seats very loose and could be dangerous for a disabled person. Overall though, the house was fine. The property manager and organization had poor control over the property. When we arrived, nothing was cleaned, dirty sheets still in the laundry and dust so thick words had been written by previous guests. Quick response by on-call person but after cleaning again, the next morning mold was discovered in the coffee machine from a left-over filter. Poor control over the property, poor restitution for my inconvenience. Makes me say this is NOT a good future rental!
This property mostly met expectations. The kitchen could use some repairs/replacements. Things such as the counter top could use replacing.
For a home that sleeps up to 15 people there are plenty of sleeping areas. We only had 8 so plenty of space for us. The backyard looked great for the kids but it was cold and rainy so we didn’t use the outdoor area. Only other suggestion would be a larger or additional water heater. Hot water did not last for even 2 people to take 10 min or less showers.
I was given a phone number for someone close by if we needed anything. We ended up being very late getting there due to bad driving conditions, after dark. I let the contact person know and she went over and turned on an inside and outside light for us! That was great arriving at a place we weren’t familiar with. Communication before and during stay was excellent and friendly!
We stayed here for my sons graduation from basic training at Fort Jackson. It was very close to the base which was great and also close to gas station, grocery store, and a Walgreens so things were convenient if we needed anything.
Would stay here again!
