The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Place laundry in the bathroom floor in front of the hamper, with wet towels on the top of linens

Please load and start the dishwasher, and clear any food scraps from the sink. Remove all unused food from the refrigerator and freezer—either take it with you or dispose of it in the trash.

Please remove all trash and place it in the trash can to the left under the steps. If that bin is full, use the one on the right. Trash is placed at the street around 9 AM on Mondays.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Linens and towels should be placed in the bathroom laundry basket. Wet towels, please leave in the bathroom floor.

Dishes should be rinsed and loaded in the dishwasher and started before leaving the property.

Food items should be taken with you as you depart, or dispose of in the trash. The outside trash cans are below the stairs for your convenience.

The space was a perfect size, with plenty of room for 3 people. The bathroom was incredible, and the Charles was very helpful and kind when we had questions.

Charles was always available and welcomed our questions. He was friendly, professional and had great communication. The apartment was very clean and well kept. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows and lines available to us. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front enclosed patio. As far as location goes— the area felt safe and parking on the street was not as bad as I initially thought. We were there for a concert at the Caesar’s Casino so the proximity to it from the house was perfect. Danville is a small town so everything was a short drive. We do have some recommendations, proper lighting at night to the stairs leading to the apartment would have been helpful. The apartment did have a little musty smell, so an air purifier could help to make the air cleaner and help with the smell. I am thinking it was because it had been a while since someone stay there cause the place was immaculately clean.

Craig, Thank you for your review and I appreciate your comments. The lighting at night is an automatic light at the top of the stairs. However once you are checked in and leave for the night, our instructions explain the lights that are on the stairs that are on a dusk to dawn sensor. We do not leave them on as there is no need to use them when we have no guests. So, for future stays, remember to turn on the stair lights left of the door on the porch. The musty smell is not something I have experienced, or heard other guests mention. It may be because we had the heat set to 50* and during your stay the A/C was used for the first time this season. I will remember to turn on the A/C a few days in advance, but unfortunately you experienced the first use of the A/C this year. I apologize for the musty smell but I appreciate you letting me know.
