Surrounded by water, great for relaxing, fire pit for Smores. Great fishing, lots of wildlife. It's got everything. Entertainment is not that far away by boat or car. Grocery store is about a mile; shopping, snorkel, restaurants it all here we also have 4 kayaks 2 paddle
boards and 2 docks for your boats for the scallopers or the fishermen. We also have dolphins and manatees that like to come by and say hi, great for the kids to see and the and pool is not heated

Beautiful location. Beautiful, spacious home. The location and views of the water and sunset were my favorite part. The pool is so nice to jump in after a hot salty day of scalloping.

very good at the price point. The host was accommodating. I asked to leave my boat at the dock before check-in. The house is at a dead end street with good dockage. The pool was wonderful after multiple days of scalloping. Master bedroom was large second bedroom was adequate third bedroom was small but adequate. Air fryer check. K cup coffee maker and filter coffee maker check. Fillet station on dock for cleaning scallops check. Adequate parking for my trailer and second SUV. Kitchen has all the basic needs but like any rental if you want special spices or ingredients, you should bring them yourselves. The host was responsive to questions in a timely manner. I would likely rent again if or when i’m returning to Crystal River.

Host is a slum lord! I would not book this property again and recommend proceeding with caution. For the nightly rate, the home is in need of significant maintenance and more thorough cleaning.The biggest concern was safety. A broken rock between the pool and the unheated hot tub caused an injury. The were numerous sharp edges from tge cracks that caused multiple injuries to our party.  The dock near the boat lift is rotting underneath and appeared unstable, creating a potential safety hazard.The listing discloses that the pool is not heated but does not mention that the hot tub is also unheated. The waterfall feature barely functions and appears to have been patched several times. The pool remained cloudy with sand covering the bottom throughout our three-day stay. Although it was scheduled to be cleaned during our stay, no one arrived to service it.The kitchen lacked many basic cooking essentials, including mixing bowls, skillets, and other common cookware. There were very few bath towels, and many were heavily stained. The pillows were old, yellowed, and stained. Several window blinds were missing slats, allowing excessive light into the home at night. The sliding glass doors were difficult to open, the primary shower had poor water pressure unless set to an uncomfortable high-pressure setting, and the home required additional cleaning. To top it off guest fees of an additional 500.00 were charged at checkout for 3 addtional children.

It can only be deemed fraudulent. I never had an experience worth a negative review until now. Below is a factual list of the issues we encountered during our stay: 1) Host did not provide the lockbox code prior to arrival. 2) The front door was found unlocked and we just walked in. 3) Many ants (dead & alive) present in the family room. 4) One dead cockroach and two live cockroaches found us during our 3 night stay. 5) Black algae throughout pool/hot tub (CLEARLY neglected for weeks). The pool guy came the day after we checked in and made it better-ish, but black algae still noticeable and we could not swim. 6) Oven caked with old food residue. 1st use (breakfast/biscuits) produced emergency level heavy smoke. 7) Coffee pot glass carafe was cracked and leaked. Unsafe. 8) No AC coming from supply ducts in master bathroom/master closet. 9) Hot water lacking in showers and kitchen sink. 10) Masterbed was numerous degrees warmer than guest rooms. 11) Blinds were missing or backwards in all rooms. 12) Hot tub & rock wall did not function. 13) MasterBed ceiling fan unusable from clanking noises. 14) Outside photos way outdated: a) NO shade sailb) NO overhead pool lightsc) NO white picket fence, but in fact a 6' cinder block wall obstructing sunset 15) Inbox'd host immediately about disgusting pool, no response entire stay, or even post checkout. I purchased a 700 per night lakeside “Gunters Paradise” and got a nightmare dump. Pick another place.

Wonderful family getaway

The view was fantastic and we loved seeing the manatees every day with an occasional dolphin! Frank was responsive when we reached out and almost all issues were quickly resolved. The property could use some sprucing up and it was mostly clean except for left over food crumbs under the sofa, broken safety glass from an outside table left on the grass and the sand blowing in from the construction next door. The sand was absolutely not the owners fault! Unfortunately one of the docks was broken from a storm shortly before we arrived and the pool timer was not working, neither of which Frank seemed inclined to fix. There is not a full set of eating utensils so we ran the dishwasher everyday. A cutting board and a broiler pan would've been helpful. It was a bit cold for the pool but the location is tops.

Found some bugs inside. However the house is directly on the water so I know that happens. The view was priceless. Beautiful sunset every night. Kayaks were nice. Great condition. Pool was beautiful. We were able to hang out in the backyard for hours.

We had a wonderful week at Gunters Paradise! The home is beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The house is in a quiet area, but close to everything you need. Lovely views!

Sigh….. I loved this property and honestly would stay here again. However, I was send the code to the lockbox and we couldn’t get the box open. There were 5 of us and none of us could open it. I messaged Frank and he didn’t respond. We found a sliding glass door that was unlocked and we entered that way. The refrigerator was not cooling and we had a lot of groceries for the 4 days we were staying. I again messaged Frank and he didn’t respond. There was a wine refrigerator there that could have saved the day but that didn’t work either. Since I didn’t receive a response I called VRBO and they assured me it would be fixed in the morning. By the first evening, the sliding glass doors from the family room to the back yard would not open. The only way to get to the pool area was through the master bedroom or go out the front door and walk around. The next morning someone came by and said she was the owner. She played with a Refrigerator and also played with a sliding glass doors. The refrigerator eventually turned on, but the sliding glass doors never opened to the back. The location was amazing! We brought our boat and the house had two operations docks which was a huge plus! At one point we tried to cook and the stove kept turning off. Again messaged Frank and received no answer. We ended up flipping the breaker and it turned on. Overall, we had a great stay and I would say here again, I would just prepare my trip differently.

Truly Paradise

Gunther’s was beautiful, spacious, and overall very clean. The dock was perfect, the outdoor space was very nice as well. The pool needed a good scrub and cleaning, but overall the stay was worth it.

Beautiful home, beautiful location

Love love love this house. The location is perfect, the house itself is beautiful. Paddled everyday to 3 sisters, only a short drive to the beach, and just perfect if you don’t want to leave the house at all. Would definitely return!

Amazing location with a beautiful view

We had an amazing experience renting this property. We watched the sunrise and sunset daily on the bay. The kayaks and paddle boards on the property were great for exploring the bay nearby. We even kayaked over to three sisters spring. Frank was quick to respond to any questions we had and is a great host.
