Welcome to Powder Ridge 2A! This mountain cabin retreat offers all the serenity of the mountains, while also offering close proximity to the amenities of Big Sky Resort! Enjoy the spectacular views from the deck while the sun shines and lounge inside by the wood-burning fireplace in the evening. Located minutes away from Big Sky Resort, enjoy the multiple restaurants and shopping opportunities available nearby.
Winter Ski Access Ski-Out: From the cabin, you can ski to the White Otter chairlift. Put skis on by the hot tub, ski the groomed access trail toward the lift, and follow the trail along the White Otter chairlift to load. Note that there are some flat sections requiring poling or skating. Ski-In: Follow Lower Morningstar to the second set of Powder Ridge signs. Exit here to skier’s left, follow the signs toward the White Otter skier bridge, cross over the bridge, and immediately turn right on the groomed access. Exit the trail to the left next to cabin 2B and hug the hill to the right of their garage, which will lead you in front of your cabin.
** White Otter opens in mid-December and closes dependent on the snow levels at the end of the season. Please check Big Sky Resorts website for lift operating schedules. If you have small children, you may need to shuttle them to the resort as they may not be able to ski the runs.
In the summer, a number of fun activities for the whole family are available a short 5-10 minute walk from your condo. Hike the "Moose Tracks" trail at Big Sky Resort, before enjoying a relaxing sunny afternoon paddle boarding or lounging by the "beach" at Lake Levinsky.
Big Sky Resort "Basecamp to Yellowstone" provides year-round fun for people of all ages, with a wide range of activities from scenic lift rides in the summer to guided snowshoe tours in the winter. If you are looking to get your adrenaline pumping, visit Basecamp to fly through the trees on either the "Nature" or "Adventure" zipline!

This home does not have air conditioning.
Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.
Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport: In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!
