Cozy Oasis Waterfront Retreat on the Chesapeake's Elk River.

Beautiful contemporary apartment located directly on the Elk River with water access to all points on the bay. This one bedroom apartment is perfect for couples but can accommodate a family with 1 or 2 young children or one more young adult with the pull out living room sofa. The area is rich in fishing, crabbing and water sports with sailing, jet skiing, kayaking and motor boating as popular past times. Gorgeous views are breathtaking year round. Wineries and great restaurants near by. Minutes from I-95 and about 50 mins equal distance between Baltimore and Philadelphia Airport. Boating, hiking, camping, shopping, antiquing and a casino within 20 miles. There are state parks in every direction.
+There is a home above you which may be rented and with the potential for noise so please ask me about the renters above you. Occasionally I will be in the home above you when it's not rented. Water access or fire pit may be shared by those renters as well. You have your own patios and grill and privacy fence/shade. Entrances are monitored for your safety with security cameras. Please ask me about details if needed.

Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and return the keys

All dishes must be washed and dried and put away. If grill was used please be courteous and clean up for next guest. Laundry needs to be started so it can be finished for renters behind you.
All trash taken to appropriate bins outside of front fence. Outside should be as you received it, return furniture/kayaks/tubes if moved or used. Thank you!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please extinguish fire in fire pit when finished winds can take embers and create unwanted fires.
Bulkhead steps will be slippery when wet, please use caution.

Cindy, the host, was extremely communicative and friendly throughout our 2 night stay, we appreciate the little touches she added throughout her home, it made the stay feel warm and enchanting. This was the most relaxing home we have stayed in through Vrbo! This was extremely well taken cared for, and shows a lot of love was put into the home. We appreciate that this little oasis exists not too far away from our home and we will be back again!

We absolutely loved our stay in Elkton. Beautiful views of the water and very quiet and tranquil. The apartment was clean, very nicely set up, and had everything we needed.

This property was perfect for a couple getaway. Beautiful view, and just steps to the river. The host, Cindy was very helpful and accommodating. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay and getaway.

Quiet getaway.

Beautiful bungalow on a private, river front road. Well appointed furnishings with everything you could possibly need. Clean and well kept. The view from the backyard is spectacular, especially at sunset. It also offers great access to the water. It is well situated as a home base with stores, restaurants, bars, and water tours all within 15-30 minutes. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. We had a fabulous time!

Loved my stay

Super clean, incredible views, very quiet and peaceful. Just what I needed to get away. I sat in the backyard a lot and just looked at the water and the sky. The backyard faces west and the sun sets were gorgeous. I loved it there. Will definitely return someday.

Nice unit - clean, stocked with what you need, quality appliances. Great setting - on the river, lots of flowers, lots of wildlife (birds, fish, rabbits, etc). Quite a variety of outdoor seating options. Easy communication with speedy replies. I would stay here again and have already recommend it to others

Rx for the soul!

We loved staying on this property- outstanding water view, multiple areas outside to relax comfortably and a beautifully renovated apartment ! We also took advantage of the fire pit ( bring firewood ). The owner was helpful and responsive. The apartment was well stocked. We enjoy visiting nearby North East, MD (ladies you must visit Jan at her clothing shop, Fashionality, in North East) and Chesapeake City,MD. You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect waterside retreat

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Cindy’s property. It was a perfect retreat for a few days on the water. Her home is quiet and the yard and patio spaces are particularly great. There are many outdoor spaces to sit, have a cup of coffee, curl up and enjoy a book or unwind with a glass of wine. Nearby Chesapeake City had some great dinner options in a cute town and we enjoyed exploring Elk Neck State Park for a nature walk and the beach. It was an added bonus we could bring our dog! Although the property is a private access ground level (seperate space)- there is house upstairs. We, however did not see or hear anyone else during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great little getaway

I absolutely loved this place for my little family. My husband and I took our two Goldendoodle’s to enjoy the beautiful weather. We only stayed two nights. The owners was extremely commutative. We made friends with a few of the neighbors and the neighborhood is great for walks and runs. There was two young ladies who stayed in the top unit who appear to stay long term. We got a very unwelcome vibe from them unfortunately:/ as we were leaving Saturday they were having people over which could be a bother to future guests. We didn’t mind since we had a short stay.

Cindy has an amazing place that is exactly what we needed to disconnect from the city and really be immersed in the outdoors. She had so many areas outside that can be used including but not limited to a fire pit. She also has so many amazing kitchen appliances that really makes it easy to cook all meals on the property. Highly recommend this spot.

Relaxed and refreshed!

This getaway was a Father’s Day gift for my Amazing husband. This space is perfect for a couple, lots of kitchen tools to cook with, great nuwave oven and a beautiful spa-like bathroom. We really loved the property, as did our fur baby! My husband fished, and I relaxed in the super comfy swinging chair. Was too hot to take advantage of the kayaks but the whole point was to relax which we did! I walked the neighborhood each morning, roads were quiet and neighbors were friendly. Don’t hesitate to book! The sunset was so beautiful too! We loved it!!

What makes this property unique

The apartment is fully equipment with everything you could want but a dishwasher. Furniture is modern and comfortable and the environment is well kept. There has been much effort taken in the development of the landscaping to provide inviting plush spaces surrounded by flowering trees, annuals and perennials. There's a peach tree and an asian pear in the front and in the many potted plants I try to keep herbs to share. Home like setting with multiple outdoor sitting areas for reading or peaceful bird watching.
