This home is exactly as advertised. It’s located on a tranquil piece of land high up the hills of Humboldt County. The home itself is clean, spacious, and features large windows that frame the picturesque view. The full bathroom has an awesome bathtub set in front of windows that really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. We also enjoyed watching the sun rise and set from the large deck. We shared the property with a few deer, bucks, ravens, sparrows, and a rabbit that we think might be a hare.A few things: there’s no AC, but there are ceiling fans to keep the home cool enough even in the middle of summer. Also, there’s signal, but no Wi-Fi or TV so if that’s a dealbreaker for you, you may want to find someplace else. Lastly, heed the host’s warning about the required vehicle. The home is in a remote location, and requires some off-road type driving for about 6 miles. The stretch of road is made of dirt and gravel, so a vehicle that’s higher up with good tires is a must.If those things don’t bother you, I highly recommend Teri’s place. We very much enjoyed the peace it brought us and would definitely rent it again.

Im a semi-retired wanderer through space and time. Water sports enthusiast & currently working in the healing arts in the little town of Garberville. I love sharing what this area has to offer in nature and unique community events.

Why they chose this property

This is a very unique conscious community that developed from the “back to the land” era in the early 70’s. Most people in the neighborhood grown amazing food and live from the land.

What makes this property unique

My property is very unique and often referred to as the best view in the neighborhood.
