This Mid-Century Modern is a fully furnished, 1 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment designed as completely separate living from the main house. Guests will enjoy the privacy of a single family home because there are no adjoining walls to the main house.. The main/master bedroom has a queen-sized tempurpedic bed and a full size pull out sofa offering comfortable for sleeping 4 people total. The open living room is furnished with everything you need to relax including wall mounted flat screen tv, built in surround theater sound, ATT Uverse cable, Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu and more. A full wall of glass with sliding glass doors open to a well manicured covered patio and courtyard. Skylights bring in extra lighting making the 700 sq foot space feel spacious. The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with all utensils and cookware. Stainless steel appliances, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, ice maker, dishwasher make this unit feel like home. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of activities and later watch the sunset from the swing under the covered patio with outdoor theater sound through the built in sound system.

Awesome Place, Hosts and Location

One of the best stays we have had through VRBO. The hosts were super responsive, nice and accommodating. No laundry lists of "dos" and "don'ts" - just clear and helpful instructions for this beautiful, refreshingly modern, and highly accessible property. So much going for this place: The ability to just drive up and unload within feet of the entrance, the secure gate, cozy private courtyard and clean, clutter-free interior with super comfortable bed, spa shower that you won't want to get out of, and surprisingly large closet and storage area. This will be our go-to VRBO anytime we visit Dallas. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. A+ all around. The ONLY thing I might suggest is a non-stick skillet or two for cooking (other implements and tools are all there).

Oh so cool modern home away from home!

Just can’t offer enough praise about this stylishly modern (but still very welcoming) pied-a-terre apartment in the heart of everything cool and entertaining about Dallas. It’s totally private with its own wall enclosed covered patio surrounded by landscaping which is more like an additional outdoor room (opening from the wide sliding glass doors of the main living area) that generously enlarges your active ueable space. Furnishings were comforting (especially the bed) yet also pleasingly groovy. Great well equipped kitchen and bath with a spacious shower add up to our best stay yet in the DFW area. So very VERY highly recommended (and pooch friendly to boot)!

This was the perfect place for us to stay. The modern and well appointed apartment was very nice. It was a great location for us. Everything that you needed was provided. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the cement floor. Unfortunately it was a little too cool for us to enjoy the patio. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood when we walked our chihuahuas. We hope to be able to stay again when visiting our family. Thanks Bill

Just Perfect

This was my second time to stay in this property, and I look forward to another repeat visit. It is on a great safe location close toany Dallas destinations. The private, shady courtyard is perfect for relaxing even on a hot evening. It is also a great temporary home for anyone in travel with a dog.

This property is a real gem -- a cozy modern weekend retreat.

Very convenient to the arts district and downtown Dallas, yet secluded in a neighborhood that is quiet (I was there on long weekend). Th comfortable bed, luxurious shower, private exterior terrace -- they all contribute to making a weekend getaway very memorable. I have stayed at some home rentals where once was enough -- but that is hardly the case here. I do hope for a repeat visit soon.

Bill was a great host and the guesthouse was perfect for our needs. We loved the dog friendly attitude with the enclosed patio to enjoy the great weather in a private setting. Super easy access, reasonable rules, and a Temperpedic mattress all minutes from City Center and downtown.

Why they chose this property

The home I live in is my dream home. I had the home designed and built between 2012 and 2013 through award winning Nimmo architects know in Dallas for their Mid-Century Modern architecture. I built the apartment as a separate guest house because I love to entertain and all of my family live out of state. The house and apartment is filled with all original (mostly modern) artwork from interesting artists and sculptors. I love to give tours of my personal art collection.

What makes this property unique

This apartment is unique because it offers the amenities and privacy of a single family home but is sized at 700 sq feet which makes it a perfect vacation get away for 1-4 adults. The unit is beautiful and its decorated like its being shot for a magazine layout. It has private parking, private courtyard perfect for a pet, spacious living spaces even though the foot print is small, large walk in closet with washer and dryer, and large walk in shower.
