Only a 5 minute walk to the downtown historic part, great location, cute small room. Comfortable bed and very welcoming. Just note too that there is construction of a big building, not the owner's fault. But you can hear the trucks and equipment- FYI. I would suggest to the landlord to not leave out a dirty pan or the butter out in the kitchen. The common bathroom was located down a flight of stairs, I should have read that more carefully. But the room was clean. They allowed us to park early and later, which we appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for staying with us on March 18th. We’re really glad you enjoyed the location, found the room comfortable, and felt welcomed during your stay.
We truly appreciate you pointing out the construction noise nearby. While it’s outside of our control, we understand how it can affect the experience and we’ll make sure to highlight this more clearly for future guests.
Thank you as well for mentioning the kitchen and bathroom details. We’ve addressed the kitchen items right away to ensure everything is clean and properly stored, and we’ll also make the shared bathroom layout clearer in our listing so guests know what to expect.
We’re happy we could accommodate your parking needs, and we really appreciate your understanding and helpful feedback.
The house manager, Yvonne was wonderful. Great person and informative with the area. Her alone is 5/5.

The bedroom and bathroom were both clean, tidy and well outfitted. The bedroom included a mini fridge, tea/coffee maker, milk packets, coffee packets, bottled water, glasses and mugs. I was provided a bath towel, hand towel and face towel, and there were extra towels in the bathroom. The host, Yvonne, was very welcoming, kind and accommodating. The home was warm and comfortable; no worries about the temperature. The bed had the top sheet, quilt and comforter, plus lots of pillows, so bedding could be adjusted to preference. There are other accommodations at this address, so you could book other rooms. There is also an apartment with breakfast included. Very hospitable home. I felt safe as a solo female traveller. No complaints. Very comfortable. The house is in 4 minutes walk to Queen Street, where the tourist shops and restaurants are. It was also 3 mins drive or under 30 mins walk to several wineries/vineyards and the public library. To get here from the Bridge Street train station, I recommend getting an Uber/Lyft, which is cheaper, faster and easier than the WEGo transit.
